Trouble with Mechs and industrial weapons

I know this mod does not limit tech, but I cant figure out what mods to add or how to work around this. I keep getting attacked by giant flame throwing turrets

You can use Rimedieval for example. It allows you to lock the tech and you can disable mechanoids in it's settings
