The Clone Wars have begun, and now you can command the Republic or Separatists, establishing their bases or warring over territories.
+ Two new factions: Both Republic and Separatists have full rosters and unique playstyles. The Republic offers strong, self-sufficient infantry choices and has access to notable regiments that can be deployed quickly to any point on the map. The droid masses of the Separatist's are cheap and expendable, complementing their plethora of unique vehicles.
+ Four new maps: Endor, Geonosis, Naboo, and Kashyyyk, along with performance and gameplay improvements across all the others. Mon Cala is temporarily removed.
+ Three teams on most maps: Most maps now give the option of three team skirmishes.
+ Performance improvements: Reduction of some particles, map changes, and a slimmed-down supply system should hopefully help with performance.
+ More unique faction mechanics: In base-building modes, each faction has its own mechanics complemented by a five-level unique upgrade chain. The Rebellion salvage credits from defeated enemy units, encouraging raid tactics, and their upgrades allow them a one-time convert of enemy units, a one-time sabotage of buildings, and repeatable bombing run strikes. The Empire now has a tax-rate system, which can increase/decrease income with an effect on supplies and unit stats. Their upgrade chain works towards a one-time orbital strike. The Republic can build a Galactic Command, from which they can unlock Clone Legions. When recruited, these can be rapidly landed by LAAT anywhere on the map. The CIS has a focus on Level 2 Military Structures, which produce free units from the lower level. Their upgrade chain and unique economic system synergizes with this, though mining is their only initial income source.
There are of course many more minor improvements across the game that I hope you'll enjoy!

Introducing heroes, indigenous units, and mercenaries alongside a new mode, Scenario, which will make use of all three in story-based, 3-phase battles. The modes Assault and Bases will also be re-added with new mechanics involving these. New maps planned include re-adding Mon Cala, plus Mygeeto, Rhen Var, Coruscant, and Christophsis.

sync errors prevent any multiplayer game from being able to be played even with all the correct settings. and cant even start a multiplayer game with factions other than empire/rebellion, it just states there must be one faction for each side?

Thanks for letting me know! While multiplayer will always be prone to crashes as you play, sync errors at the start aren't supposed to happen, but I think I have an idea why they may be and a possible solution I just found out.

If you and your mate have different setups, like one on Windows 10 and the other on 11, or someone using bootcamp (those are the two examples I have experience with), it seems using the STEAMMOD launch code causes sync errors when starting. When loading, does it say for the non-host that it is 'downloading map from host' or something like that?

If so, try both using the other code: Modpath=..\..\..\workshop\content\32470\2557692669. This makes the game think the mod is local or something, and seems to work better in those situations (and the same in others).

As to the other factions, I presume the issue is that you have both players set to one team, or different factions on the same team. Try checking the team numbers (each player needs to set their own team)

It is very odd that would always coincide with the new factions though, so maybe it is something else. On the map preview, are there the team numbers 1, 2, 3 showing, or just faction icons?

using the modpath worked. but we found ground unit movement way too slow. also should consider making the unit creation time happen upon selecting the unit rather than having a cooldown after creating a unit, and make the time a little bit shorter.

I'm glad the modpath worked! Something good came out of that frustrating issue a few days ago. I'm happy with how ground movement is, but perhaps you have the penalty from using all supplies (were you with an ally or the pop cap had more than zero in the left number, like 1/1, 2/1 etc.) That slows speed by 50%.

I wish I could change the unit creation time, but this is sadly the only way it can work using the build-pad system. The time won't be made shorter, at least not across the board, as by building more structures of the same type you can increase the rate at which you can make units. Each building has a different time, which is designed to be balanced (which doesn't mean that it is balanced of course).

hi, sorry i've got a strange issue
The download seem to do not work - it allocates memory, i have plenty of available memory so it shouldn't be a problem, and when the downloading have to start, it starts, and instantly stops. It tries again shortly after, and stops right after. It keeps doing it in loop, but my connection is all fine, as i'm currently listening to a music on youtube while watching a discord stream. Any clue of why the download doesn't want to properly run?
Sorry for the weird issue :( i hope i'll be able to re-download the mod, i've enjoyed playing it before i had to clean my drive

Hello, that's no good. I'm not sure why that might happen, it sounds really weird.

Have you tried:
A: Unsubscribing then restarting your computer, then resubscribing?
B: Unsubscribing, clearing the download cache, restarting everything, then resubscribing?

@Aenarae I also just added a new patch, so perhaps that might help force it to download properly.
we tried using modpatch, but it's still out of sync
we launched via modpatch and we had a map download followed by a synchronization error.

It is somehow caused by some difference (often only a perceived difference) between the two game versions, but it is tricky to track down what that might be. You could try Lan (if possible), or Online if you are already using Lan.

Perhaps validate game files on both devices in case a file is missing (either in base game or mod)?

I can't think of any other things I've tried, so I hope something works (if I find something, I'll comment). Please ask if you need help with validating files, and do let me know if it works.
