Magic Storage
Storage Configuration Interface and some crafting filters don't work properly
When placing down a Storage Configuration Interface on a storage system, the crafting interface ALWAYS acts as if all of its options are enabled, even if you open it and disable them. Even if using researched or inventory items is disabled, it still shows (and lets you pick up) items in your inventory or max stacks of items not in storage. Additionally, restarting the game resets all the options to being enabled. This persists until the Storage Configuration Interface is removed.

When crafting an item while using the stackables or researched filters, the filter is disabled until another item is selected or the interface is reopened.

Using Magic Storage v0.7.0.8 with TML v2025.5.3.0 and no other mods.

The issue with the Configuration Interface's modules acting like they're always enabled is being investigated, although the issue with the filters should have been fixed already.
Would you mind getting a minimal mod list? I.e. the smallest mod list that still has this issue happen.

ouch
are you referring to this fix?
- Fixed a bug in the UIs which caused the sorting and filtering buttons to reset when opening the UI, even if the Use default filter config option was disabled
cause it's fine when opening the UI, it's just crafting that messes it up. and I tried changing some of the configs but it was still the same.

I managed to find the cause for the Configuration Interface's issue and fix it, and somehow got the Crafting UI issue to stop happening? The one where refreshing it caused the recipe list to ignore the filters for whatever reason.
I'll need to test further but hopefully the next hotfix should fix both of them.
alright, that's nice
That's awesome to hear! Thanks for your hard work on this mod, as always.

Out of curiosity, what was causing the issue?

For the Configuration Interface, right clicking it will attempt to set the "current access" variable for its UI to that component. However, due to a bug, the UI always thought that the "current access" didn't exist (because the UI checked for it before the variable was actually set to anything). This resulted in the UI 1) not updating to have the actual state of the modules when opened and 2) never telling the CI that the state of its modules were changed.

As for the Crafting UI issue, I kinda just bashed my head against a wall (figuratively) and it somehow started working.
Ah, got it. Glad you figured it out in the end.
