It's about their number of limbs (arms + legs)
ok
It's about which characters in the story die, and flipping the switches accordingly whether or not they're alive or dead.
As for the map, I really enjoyed it. It's always interesting to see how people flip TF2 on it's head when something like this is released. Personally I feel the puzzles were a little on the easy side, but that's relatively minor compared to the horror atmosphere. I'm not too scared of horror experiences so I don't think it would be right to critique that aspect, but I think the timing between the puzzles and the monster reveal was spot-on. Having to avoid the monster while also having to break open the vent was an engaging section of the map and was executed real well given what you're working with.
One thing I found was that the monster reveal was a little underwhelming for me. I think that more build-up to the monster using sound effects (Floor creaks, monstrous sounds) and/or some visual hints like flesh/liquid dripping from the ceiling (something that reveals more accurately that you aren't alone in the building) would add a lot more to the suspense in my opinion.
Overall great map and I'm looking forward to checking out whatever you have planned afterwards.
I would agree actually. I think what I meant to say was more along the lines of creating an atmosphere of where you believe there is something in there with you, while at the same time not being entirely sure if that's true; paranoia.
