then press that letter to activate the associated command
for example:
"bind g kill" makes it so that everytime you press 'g', your character dies.
"bind f +use" makes it so that every time you press f, it tells the game you want to use or pick something up (yes theres no space between the '+' and 'use'.
"tf_allow_player_use 1" i assume just tells the internalised server to allow the +use command, which has no use in casual tf2, hence being disabled by default.
the "bind a key: attatch a key" just appears when improper use of the command is sent, for example, if one were to just enter "bind" into console, it would say the aforementioned message.
TL;DR i think you did it wrong.
