FIX 1: Fixed "installing" Tab! Subscribing was overriding the custom .vpks to some people, so i changed the instructions to be clearer. Rookie mistake, i guess ^-^

Thank You @Saport for so much input of your experience with the mod! First of all, a quick disclaimer, i've already played the Earthbound section with this mod twice to test as well and i'm happy that you had a lot of the "same" experiences. I'm still thinking how i'm gonna do Xen (still exploring some commands as well). Anyway, into your comments: I was also really happy with how the kevlar ended up, the physics of it should be much better but since it didn't have much impact i really didnt go into how to do it xD. I liked your Guard idea, i was pondering something similar as well, i'm definitely adding it in my "ideas to explore" list. Your opinion on bullets is pretty much the same as mine, it's supposed to be like that for this mod (If it was too bs even for me obviously i would tone it down, but i think it's fine as it is rn), but i don't think i understood what you meant with the turrets, i don't think it matters how fast they kill you, it's how you disable them or hide before htey kill you (its gonna be similar with the chopper stuff), that's just my opinion of course, and maybe you just got a random bug idk xD.
About the fishy boi, ye, i think 1 hit would be the only sensible way to go, viable strats are pretty much kill it fast or run away fast, which is perfect imo. About the headcrabs, i'm still a bit divided, i'm gonna tell you why. First of all, i agree with you on what you said xD, but there are 2 more things to consider: First, if we assume the headcrab always hits your head then yea, it should almost kill you, but if we look at it when they attack a npc for example or in hl:alyx, they mostly aim for the head but sometimes hit you somewhere else, and it makes sense (like a cat when they try those random jumps), one of their bites to your arms or legs would hinder you but not kill. I still kinda agree with you on them having higher damage, but then there's also the gameplay consideration, and in general they are easy to avoid and then 1 shot with crowbar, but man, There are some really annoying vents in the game when you almost cant avoid getting hit, so thats why im still divided. I'm gonna explore more of the Grunt damage when i get to xen testing, In earthbound i never had a single problem with them though. Regarding the bullsquid, i don't remember ever being 1 hit by it? I never tried getting a full shot of it tho so idk xD, Avoiding the acid spray is key, I figured it made sense it would do tons of damage since a chemical works different than a kevlar stopping a bite or a bullet. If you want to report your experiences more in depth with the bullsquid maybe i understand a bit more what you mean by it. Finally, the cold damage, yea sadly i cant do ♥♥♥♥ about it with the usual tools, but since it's a 1 map thing only, i may find a way to change how it works, im gonna put it on the "ideas to explore" list but it's not a priority for now. Thank you so much for this, anything just let me know =p

Hello. We activated the mod (Nightmare difficulty) in the middle of our playthrough, at the very start of Forget About Freeman. Overall it made the game significantly more fun to play. We will definitely replay other chapters with this mod in the future.

Black Mesa parts were the most fun, while Xen felt a bit tedious at times, but I think that has more to do with level design than the mod (we found battles to be fun but didn't like the puzzle sections very much, and some areas were pretty repetitive). Gonarch was a very fun boss. The only thing I would possibly tweak is make the little headcrabs less damaging since they are very hard to control in the second phase of the boss (when the Big Mamma is on top of you) and that part turns into quick save-quick load fest.

The rest of Xen was challenging but interesting to go through. Props for making the bullsquids into an actual threat. It is worth mentioning that by the end of Xen we basically ran out of all ammo and were relying on the infinite gauss gun ammo crystals. Not sure if thats intended. Luckily they do spawn some more ammo at the Nihilanth.

Now, the Nihilanth himself felt... ridiculously easy. You should do something about that, the fight was flashy but very short and Gonarch was much harder compared to Nihilanth (who is supposed to be the final boss).

And about the power replenishing crystals - pre-Gonarch they were still pretty overpowered despite the higher difficulty, so if you manage to do something about them, it would be great. Post-Gonarch you kinda need them tho, since they are the only source of energy sometimes. Would be cool if they could only give you 100 suit charge at max rather than it being infinite, but not sure if thats possible to implement.

That's pretty much all for our experience, I might add something else once we replay the game from the beginning with the mod installed. Thank you for making Black Mesa a better game.

Heyo! Thx for Playing! Im glad you enjoyed it!
I will have some time soon to get back to the mod so that i can finally finish it.
I will register your babycrab feedback and see what i can do. Regarding the crystals, that will be the first thing i'll try to change but yeah, from my experience too, they weren't needed until the latter parts of interloper. The 100 Max idea can work in some variation, we could lore it like "it generates a shield around you" rather than charging suit. The Nihilanth fight is an interesting one. imo in Vanilla BM it is also much easier than Gonarch. Balancing Him is hard tho, at least directly. In certain phases he just starts throwing every sort of jibberish against you and tweaking a single attack can make it almost impossible to navigate. I'm considering a couple things to tweak the battle indirectly: -Remove All/most loot from those random teleported rooms (like, why is he teleporting a ♥♥♥♥ ton of ammo/health for you anyway), -Spawn some NPCs in the first phases to split your attention.
