Speaking of Monster Hunter, could we also get tyrant egg loot in their nests for fun & profit? It would go nicely with making the nests rarer to have massive 30kg eggs with 40k value (example numbers).
Wonder if they're also experiencing it because they did the same thing I did.
I deleted my personal patch and remade it based off that and it seemed to "fix" the issue. I just removed the nest spawns in spider plains and stormgap coast and then added an eastern tyrant pack homeless spawn to stormgap coast to replace the nest. And then because I wanted tyrants to be rare even with jacked up population settings, I reduced the tyrant nest population limit and set the tyrant squads "don't multiply" value to true so they aren't affected by the squad multiplier setting.
In the "town" items the fiends and tyrants are the same faction, so if the "resident override" is set to false then after spawning what is assigned to the "town" it fills the rest of the population with tyrants or fiends, even if its a fiend nest (which have higher population numbers). If I'm wrong about this let me know, I am inexperienced in modding kenshi.
Another issue is between the 2 mods multiple squads, towns, etc have the same string id. If you only have one of the mods its fine, but if you have both then tyrant squads can spawn in fiend nests (maybe even roaming squads). This I found when I made a mod to edit the 2 at the same time (mostly the biome spawns), I had fiend nests with tyrant squads because the original fiend squads were deleted from the game for having the same name.
So I'm going to try renaming some things and hope nothing breaks.
I'm also doing what some of y'all are and lowering tyrant squad sizes and nest population as well as making them not affected by squad size multiplier.

UPDATE: it seems everything I did worked, they had been spawning in large numbers (10-20 in okrans valley) almost everywhere and now they are pretty rare. Maybe too rare, only saw one so far but I haven't been in the areas they spawn at that much yet.
Could you perhaps post a patch for that? I'm tempted to see the Tyrants in action, but I've been hesitant to do so based on the comments.
I adjusted some things in both mods so I can't just upload the changes I did. But I can probably make a patch that just fixes the spawns.
