- This would require a patch for the mod "nocturnal animals". As far as I know: editing the sleep-cycles of animals isn't included in the vanilla-code. I'll look into it.
The only thing this attribute really does is prevent untrainable animals from wandering outside a paddock once tamed, and from "wandering off" and becoming untamed again. With trainable animals, you can do the same thing with areas, thus protecting your Chinchilla farm from your predatory Barn Owls.
I'll also note that almost all predators (trainable or not) are not blocked by fences (so you'll need to build a Barn to keep them safe at times); since the birds are all predators, they should be able to freely hunt outside the base, rather than rely on Kibble.
