It didn't work.
One thing that seems important, would be to make it so birds fly to targets when released instead of walking, it just doesn't make sense.
Additionally I would love if the birds of prey performed better in combat. I think that giving them a swoop attack that allows them to dive, hit, disengage, then repeat would be a good way to do this. There still should be a window in which they can get melee'd.
When they hunt or attack from afar, they will have a skill to accumulate momentum and greatly increase damage.
They can both fly and attack.
Birds will be more likely to attack the head area.
Some big species such as eagles have the ability to penetrate armor, in addition, there are cases when they drop their prey from above to let gravity kill them.
> I propose to add birds additional dodge chance when flying
>I propose to add more canid and less canid types of birds: eagle, albatross, hummingbird, parrot, pigeon, vultures, seagull
> i propose to add small amount of flying to existing birds, including domesticated ones like chicken [diligence]
EDIT: actually nvmd
you can set "allow all animals to hunt" in the "hunt for me" mod ^^
Also, since beavers from a mod can apparently build dams, perhaps the birds could also construct nests. However, I am not sure if robin can be configured to prefer lay eggs in the nests, much less to recognize which nests is theirs. Moreover, I am unsure if they can be also configured to prefer building nests on a tree instead of just anywhere. One complication might be what happens if the tree is chopped down or is destroyed.
I should note that, at the time of this writing, I have personally not yet seen beavers in the game, despite being subscribed to the mod in question, so I do not know much about their behavior with respect to dam-building yet.
