Elite: Dangerous Capital-Class Jump Audio

Jump Audio Suggestions
Due to current limitations in SE, I cannot make the Jump Drive spool time longer or shorter than 10 seconds. My solution is to grab a key SFX of the audio and overlay it over the default audio for the Jump Spool SFX (for example, the victory-class horn from Elite Dangerous).

So, there are 4 components to the audio, any of them can be safely ignored.

-Jump Drive Charging: This plays while the Jump drive is Charging (i.e. when the block is yellow). It is a sound that loops and plays as ambience.

-Jump Drive pre-jump (spooling): This plays once the user has initiated the jump to all nearby players that can hear it (remember, realistic mode removes audio if you're not in the same atmosphere or touching the grid) (please select 10-seconds long audio or supply an audio clip that i overlay onto the base)

-Jump Drive Activation: This plays on jump (at the end of the 10 seconds countdown) to anyone nearby. Thus, only players on the Jumping ship *and nearby players at the original location* will hear it.

-Jump Drive Exit: This Plays when the ship ends the jump, i.e. to the players on the ship and the players near the destination.

By default, the Activation sound is a split second long and so is the exit. However, keep in mind that if you choose to make both the jump activation sound and the jump exit sound extremely long they will both play over each other for the players on the ship.

An alternative would be to have the Jump Drive Activation sound quieter than the exit sound to the point that you can't hear it under the Exit sound, like if I used the witchspace closing sound from Elite Dangerous.

You Must supply your suggestions along with a link to youtube videos or mp3 files for each section of audio you want to change (if you haven't got a youtube video of exactly the moment you want, you can supply a timestamp range.

Ah yes, I actually played the demo for that. If you can supply a video with clean Jump Audio in it (timestamping a longer video is fine) then I can make you a mod for it!

I was mostly referring to the other two commenters after you, but thank you for adding more precision. I can indeed get the warp horn, would you prefer to have the warp horn alone or the entire capital ship exiting audio, because I have a clean audio file of it, and should be able to extract the horn from it.

It'll stay unlisted until you've confirmed you're happy with it, i.e. whether you want just the horn or the full exit audio. Make sure to load up a world and test the audio.

Ironically the thing that took longest was finding a website that properly downloaded the audio as an MP3, and not a truncated mp4, so that Audacity would recognise it. The whole process of actually making the mod, however, is as simple as grabbing this mod and swapping out the audio (plus copy-pasting an extra sbc property into the sbc file)

Out of curiosity, sometimes it doesn't play audio on exit. Do you know how I could fix this?

I have absolutely no clue, but I experienced the same thing. My only guess is that it's an issue with how Space Engineers loads audio. The only fix I can think of would be making the audio shorter.
