Daora
About Daora's Possible Lineage
So, I may be just another one asking this, but I decided to make this a thread so that everyone will know.

So if Daora is a descendant of SL Wolves and part water dragon, who all is in the family tree if a tree has been developed?

Is Iroh in the tree with her, or is that just a misconception? I mean, Roekoko already has a bit of lineage for herself, and I'm wondering if Daora will ever get that same treatment if it hasn't happened already.

@iiVoltageWolf, sorry I didn't realize this thread was made. Steam never notified me that a thread was made like comments normally do. The most clear lineage that was created for Iroh / Daora is that Daora is Iroh's grandaughter in her Rivals version. I have to say this because Iroh is owned by a different person, not myself. We initially wanted to tie the two together lore wise early in rivals but as the years go by, I don't want Daora to be tied to a specific family tree involving other people's characters as that prevents me from really fleshing out her story outside of rivals. Daora as a character is very special to me and I won't leave her as a rivals only OC.

The main thing I think I can say about the new direction I am taking with her lore is that she was adopted by Solarei early in her life (which explains why they fight very similarly), and thus becomes part of that family by adoption. This makes her Sailee / Tzukiyo's adopted sister and Roekoko's adopted aunt.

Gotcha. Well, I had a feeling that would be the case because the idea of making a lineage with the characters of others can be a bit of a risk. Especially when it comes to ownership. Not to mention that when Daora wins, she doesn't say grandad, she first names Iroh as if he was a complete stranger to her.

I guess that's why lineages are often designed by one person and not in a collaborative effort.

Personally, I thought the idea of Daora being the granddaughter of Iroh was cool, but I understand your concerns. That's why I tend to design my own lineages independently.

I feel the same way about my SL wolf, Fulgari. I find him to be a relic to me, and someone I wish to hold onto.

The Daora quotes towards Iroh is intentional, Daora doesn't like her grandad even in her lore because he is a villain character and in her eyes a monster that curses her lineage. Her quotes to him being so cold are intentional.

I know it probably disrupts cool lore that could exist to tie workshop characters together but keeping Daora tied directly to Iroh limits what I can do with her story wise and I'd rather not have an uncontrolled variable in one of my character's story. At the very least she has a reason to be involved with several of my other characters now in a meaningful way.
