A door should be moved.
Just a suggestion for when you meet and fight John Charles D'Forgney. If you open the door that leads to his room while in Cautious Mode, it does not trigger a fight or his text speech. If you move the door down the hall, much closer to him and change the trigger for his text to opening the door, instead of walking to the end of the hall, it would cause the player to trigger his speech, then the fight.

In my play through, I opened the door, saw the enemies down the hall in the room, and simply tossed in a Fireball. Triggering a surprise round and a bunch of damage. Simply held position at the door and killed everything.

After the fight was over and John Charles D'Forgney was dead, I stepped into the room triggering his speech...
