Corpse Children

Wildman didn't fully recruit
So, found a nice wild(wo)man and decided to 'convert' her, like you can do with any raider corpse you like.

Which worked, except... she's now considered both a colonist and wildwoman. I can adjust her jobs and such, but she retains the pink name text and is buggy in some menus.

I managed to fix the problem by using character editor to set her as not being a member of my faction (reverting her to native wildwoman status) and recruiting her via taming.

@Tana: I just tried to reproduce this, and wasn't able to either by either spawning in a wildman or triggering the run wild mental break. In case it's something more subtle, do you happen to know what menus were being buggy?

You also mentioned that the 'converted' wildwoman's name was pink; do you happen to know what mod turns the name pink? I'm feeling it might be doing other faction interactions that the Corpse Children mod is not currently aware of.

Okay, managed to redo the bug with a new save (after a complete clear and reinstall of the entire game and all mods for an unrelated game-breaking from the newest update).

That right there shows what I know. On the left, a dead wildwoman (and the horrifying chimera that murdered her). Not one I'd want to keep, but she'll do for bug hunt purposes.

Highlight in red, her name and background.

On the right, what I get after turning her into a colonist. Note the RoM mark in the colonist bar of her as having a martial class. And the lack of display below. Funny thing is... she didn't have a martial class identified when alive.

Also note her name in the colonist selection bar is pink- which all wildmen are, rather than white or red like colonists or enemies are, respectively.

Oh, and something else I noticed. Whenever a new corpse child is created, it's in effect an entirely new colonist. I have a save from right after I killed the WW, and when reloading to double-check and the like... the colonist created from the corpse is different every time, with different names and history and tattoos. The only things that seem to stay consistent are traits, skin color, genes, and sex.

I am assuming that's a limitation of the game rather than a bug, however.

I kind of like this nutty interaction. You still have to tame them because corpse children carries up the wild man trait.
