Am I doing something wrong?
On the second mission, the first one I had to "infiltrate". It was an "extract the crates " mission, I got all the crates and then called for EVAC but the timer doesen't tick down

Am I missing something?

That does sound like a problem. When I get this type of mission, I throw the Skyranger beacon and it ticks down as normal, eventually resulting in a pickup.
