Liberating Region with a Story mission in it?

Okay so i have the mission-coordinates from the vial. these send me to western europe. i also have the HQ-Raid for that region available. Since there is Advent Strength 6 in Western Europe i was thinking of liberating it first, to make the facility easier.

does this work or will this bug my game (or have no effect whatsoever?)
