LWOTC 1.2.0 release date: December 16, 2024
There's been a lot of work happening on the Experimental branch, and it will be pushed to the Live version exactly 1 year after the last update. There's still some ongoing balance work going on, but there's a ton of new content and tweaks I'm happy to share. Full changelog here[docs.google.com].

NOTE: Due to new SPARK changes in 1.2, the Shen's Last Gift DLC is now a hard requirement for this version and the game will crash if it is not present. There will be a 1.1 archive version available as well.

The Compound Rescue Mission looks intriguing. What's the difference between it, and say Rescue the VIP from ADVENT Vehicle/Cell or Escort them out?

I'm looking forward to this patch. It's still a little odd to me that the Templar isn't getting another secondary weapon (unless I reenable Shields via the modfiles), but it isn't a big deal.

I hope this version will also be made available elsewhere than on Steam; I got XCOM2 from GoG and apparently the Steam downloader doesn't work like it did several years ago.
Speaking of which, I still have all the mods I used when I played LWOTC almost a year ago...
I hope they are still ok...

I'm going through the dumb amount of mods I've collected over time and I see that many have either been depreciated, abandoned or found new developers.

They're probably okay, but you should have a look.

Somewhere i'm afraid i cannot launch the game again.... i'll see...

Perhaps the best for LWOTC is to merge essentials mods... so no need to update them too...

If you'd like for reference, I spent all summer testing a bunch of mods with LWotC 1.1 which you can find in the link below. The current list of mods all work and I am hoping they will still function with version 1.2.
