Changes to Advent Sniper
- I've introduced a new version of the Harbinger Rifle and hidden the 3 original ones. This new one is gated behind Gauss Weapons as well as the Advent Sniper Autopsy, and offers stats equal to the Mag Long Rifle but with a little faster infiltration speed. It does not have any attachment slots at all, but can fire or overwatch for one action. It costs the same to build as a Mag Long Rifle, plus one Advent Sniper Corpse. You won't be able to upgrade this with better weapon tech, but being able to fire/overwatch for one action should keep it relevant for most of your campaign, even if just for Haven Advisors or Spotter-type Sharpshooters.

- The Harbinger Rifle is no longer one-and-done, you can build as many as you want (and they won't randomly disappear from your inventory either) as long as you have the corpses.

- If the Harbinger Rifle doesn't appeal to you, Advent Sniper Corpses can also be used to build Sabot Rounds from Spark Arsenal, which are similarly very appealing to any sniper rifle or artillery cannon user.

- If you have Spark Arsenal installed, Advent Snipers (all tiers) will now equip Sabot Rounds.

Hi Kiruka!
After last update, Advent Sniper broken... they just always skip their turns...

If I disable ModJam then the snipers are fine. If ModJam is active - Snipers always skip their actions. This works even if the sniper hasn't received red status yet. They don't even move around the battlefield while the squad is camouflaged.

I checked Advent Sniper's config folder and don't find something suspicion. I think something in Script broken this Snipers. Can you check plz this moment?


I used command for test Snipers:

dropunit AdventSniperM1 2 true

I found the problem. For some reason, in the ModJam AI config for the sniper,
"AdventSniperRoot" was written instead of "AdventSniperModJamRoot", which you have specified in OPTC_ModJamAI.uc

I don’t know it’s my fault, that I constantly swarm into the configs and change something there, or it was written that way. In any case, the problem is solved. I'm sorry to trouble you.

I will double check this to make sure it's correct on my end, thanks for sharing your solution.

Edit: I did find an error, although rather than a case of AdventSniperRoot instead of AdventSniperModJamRoot, it was AdventSniper_RedAlert instead of AdventSniperModJam_RedAlert. That error would cause it to use its original AI tree instead of the modified one.
