BUG REPORTS/KNOWN BUGS
WHEN REPORTING A BUG:
  1. What were you doing when the bug occurred? Are you able to reproduce it?
  2. If you had other mods enabled, does the bug still occur without them? (Mod compatibility is not guaranteed)
  3. If the entire game crashed, post the client_log.txt (if playing caveless) or server_log.txt (if playing with caves) file located at Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether (use spastebin/imgur/etc for uploading). If you do not upload your log file, I cannot help you.

KNOWN BUGS:
  • Rolling back a server might break the hound AI, causing odd behavior and instability. We’ll begin looking into this shorty.
  • Character became stuck in the ocean when their boat broke. We have not been able to reproduce this issue; the player should have been transported safely back to shore.
If you become stuck in the deep ocean, try using the commands "/rescue" or "c_gonext("multiplayer_portal")". It is better to go down with the ship than to be stuck in the ocean.

  • Very rarely a player will be unable to use their inventory upon exiting the water. This seems to be caused by a poor connection to the host server. We have not been able to consistently reproduce this issue and have taken steps to prevent it happening. Disconnecting and reconnecting to the host will solve the issue.
  • Mod may crash if the character is somehow teleported outside the world border. Be careful when using mods that add extra-dimensional storage rooms. We have identified the code responsible and are testing possible solutions now.
  • Upon first entering the game, if you immediately mount a creature Wirra may still be willing to try entering the water. Similarly, if entering the game and standing on a boat that collapses, you will enter the water rather than be returned to the shoreline. Jumping to a boat or in/out of the water prevents this and the features work as expected. We are investigating this issue.
  • Audio in this mod is controlled exclusively by our config settings, and is not adjusted based on the game's settings. This means if you were to mute your game, this mod's audio would still be audible. This is a very rare issue which few people have experience resolving, though we will correct it once we learn how to. In the meantime, please use the provided audio config settings to adjust the sound levels as needed.

ADDRESSED:
  • Wirra's negative summer insulation value is working as intended. A negative value will not cause a character to overheat any faster than another character if you both lack protection, but instead it will decrease the effectiveness of equipment that should protect you from the heat.
  • You are able to use boats as this character, but must toggle swimming off in-order to approach the coastline. By default this is the R key.
  • Stopped lucky whistle from playing invalid sound while in multiplayer.
  • Trained hounds will no longer attack Restrained Static item.
  • A player's hounds no longer vanish when another player uses a lucky whistle near them.
  • Default freeze resistance increased.
  • Now able to respawn if the player dies while swimming.
  • Character's speed is now more natural when riding beefalo, or when using Shipwrecked mods and speed altering leveling system mods.
  • Incorrectly modded food items should no longer cause the hound's AI to crash, but the modded item in question was never identified for us to test.
  • Trained hounds will no longer attack trained spiders or any other player followers.
  • Clay hounds that have been trained and then stop following you will no longer cause the game to crash.
  • Invalid audio sources interacting with this mod will no longer cause a crash.
  • Visual and teleportation errors will no longer occur during the moon stone event.
  • Trained and recently trained hounds will no longer attack the moon stone.
  • Iron stomach config now allows player to eat raw foods without gaining any penalties.
  • Trained and recently trained hounds will no longer attack Glommer or rock lobsters when the 'monster' config option is on.
  • Recently trained clay hounds will no longer crash the game when 'food per day' is set to none.
  • Hounds similar to clay hounds will no longer cause the game to crash when offered food or when they stop following the player.
  • Swimming can now be entirely disabled, helping to prevent conflicts with mods that add similar code.
  • Carnivore diet config option now allows 'goodies' to be eaten.
  • The universal lucky whistle config will no longer disables the craft.
  • The ancient knowledge and celestial crafting menus will no longer overlap when both of the crafting bonuses are active.
  • Tier 2 research bonuses for ancient and celestial crafting now work as intended.
  • Wearing moggles when permanent night vision is off will no longer cause the game to crash.
  • Trained and recently trained hounds will no longer attack the companions or characters (eg. rabbitmen, pigmen, houndius shootius, etc.), regardless of world's PvP status.
  • Fixed typo that prevented ice dens losing durability when on fire.
  • We are aware that hounds spawned during waves will try to attack Wirra. Refrain from attacking them for ~15 seconds and they will become passive.
  • A trained varglet will not follow you, but it will become passive and gain the same buffs as other trained hounds.
  • Toggling the swim or heel command while on the character select screen will no longer cause the server to crash.
  • Mod will no longer crash when a player swims near the world border.
  • Removed item craft that was unintentionally added.
  • Hounds similar to clay hounds will no longer cause the game to crash when told to sit.
  • When the ability to pick-up items while swimming is enabled, the character now able to also pick up tools/weapons. We are aware that the player is technically able to use these items while swimming and will address this if we are able to.
  • Health regen options will now work as expected in all weather conditions.
  • Server will no longer crash if multiple players are playing as Wirra and one is swimming while the other is interacting with their inventory. This error was very rare, but we wanted to ensure the mod was as stable as possible.
  • Equipping gear when the config to pick up items while swimming is active, will no longer cause the previously equipped gear to be deleted.
  • Hounds following non-players will no longer receive stat bonuses.
  • Wirra will no longer attempt to swim when riding a mount.
  • Wirra is again able to enter the water from a boat.
  • Sanity aura config is now Off by default, as was intended.
  • Server will no longer crash if freeze resistance is set to max and the player dies.
  • Server will no longer crash when training hounds which lack a sleeper component.
  • Server will no longer crash when using [API] Modded Skins, nor will not using that mod prevent Wirra's skins being available.
  • Using cawnival games while possessing a summoned hound will no longer cause the hound to be despawned.
  • Character will have their selected skin upon spawning.
  • Non-host players will not crash upon using a wardrobe while using [API] Modded Skins.
  • A second thermal pack will no longer spawn within the world when using the Nomadic starting inventory.
  • Server will no longer crash when an ex-trained hound enters combat.
  • Starting inventories that include an insulated pack will now work as intended.
  • Edits to trained and ex-trained hows are now appropriately unique.
  • Server will no longer crash when inspecting WX-78.
  • Feet sprites for the Tailwind Terror skin will now appear.
  • Armor will now appear on the character when the server is loaded, changing cosmetics, and entering/exiting the water.
  • Server will no longer crash when a hound exits combat while simultaneously trying to share it's nil target data with nearby hounds.
  • Updated hound AI will no longer cause the server to crash when hounds retaliate after being attacked by another player's followers while PvP is enabled.
  • Server will no longer crash when hound plushies are stackable and a mod is in use that changes max stack sizes.

As strange as it seems (and as far as I can tell), that happens with all of the vanilla audio, it's just hard to notice.

I was using it in a game with friends, when the wolves came I tried to use the whistle but the game stopped and left us in a past tense due to the error. I did it again and apparently it was the fault of the lucky whistle

Please see the above instructions on reporting bugs. Were any other mods being used, and can you provide a copy of the log file where the error occurs? (Frankly I’m wondering how/why the whistle could be causing an error, since it’s a vanilla game item.)
While we’re on the subject of the whistle though, is the special audio I added playing when you use the whistle? I didn’t hear it when Beard777 used it, but it’s working for me.

The mods I was using were: Global Positions, Geometric Placements, Show me, Minimap, Default dance fortnite (works in Wirra so fun) and food values. and I must add that it did not throw me an error text, but rather that it paralyzed the server and insinuated "the connection has stopped", it closed the game and automatically deactivated the mods per protocol.

Can you access the log file? That’s the most effective way for me to learn what happened. DM me if you need help, I don’t mind. ☺️

Wirra just won't load in. I'm not sure why, but no matter how many times I apply the mod, or restart the game, her character and icon just won't show up on the character selection menu, even though it says the mod is installed. I can make this bug happen again just by applying the mod and going to choose a character.

Then let's fix that. ^-^
Firstly, have you tried using the 'Clean All' option in-game?
Secondly, do you have any client mods installed?
Thirdly, can you access the log file? If this is confusing you can DM me and I'll work you through the process of how to access it.

First of all, yes, I actually have used the clean all button.
Second of all, I have no client mods installed. Wirra is my first.
Third, I'm not sure how to access the logs.

Ok, interesting.
As for the logs, you're looking for a file location like this one: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\OneDrive\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\102137436
From there you'll see files named cluster_#. These files are your world saves. Work your way though until you find the server_log_2021-##-##-##-##-##-## files. Those are the records the server generates.
That address may look something like this: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\OneDrive\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\102137436\Cluster_14\Master\backup\server_log
Open the .txt file and search for the word "Error".

Not sure how, but none of that is appearing. There's no file with that number, no error, no .txt, and nothing about the mod.

The specific file address will be unique to your computer and world files.
Also, have you tried launching the server since the crash? The error log only generated if you do that (don't ask me why). Its location may also slightly vary depending on whether your world has a cave or not.

I've tried launching the server again, and even then Wirra still doesn't show up. Also, there are no files on my computer mentioning an error.

Are you willing to temporarily friend me? We will be able to exchange screenshots and get to the bottom of this.
Furry Eskimo  [developer] 27 Dec, 2021 @ 4:14pm
Haha, we got it. This is a server mod, not a client, so remember to enable the mod on your world save's mod list. ^-^
