How to Fly your Dragon
There wasn't enough space on the Steam page to cover Lilac's Dragon Boost mechanics in full so here is a detailed description on what you can do during this move:

The Water Dragons of Avalice boast the tremendous power to transform into comets and fly at supersonic speeds in straight lines. Lilac can curl herself into a ball and if done in midair she will suspend herself in that position. She will start spinning in midair while surrounding herself with sparkles. The spin will do damage to anyone who dares come close but it pales in comparison to what comes after.

While Lilac is spinning a yellow arrow appears which you can aim in one of 6 directions, straight forward or diagonal. If you are running or walking before performing the Dragon Boost Lilac will carry her speed into the roll and perform a rolling boost.

After a certain period of time Lilac will launch off and fly at full speed in that direction. If Lilac hits a wall while flying she will either bounce off it diagonally or if she has a wall jump she will recoil off the wall instead if hit straight on.

Hitting the ground will see Lilac follow the stage instead. Inputting the Special button while in the move will cancel the Dragon Boost, this will trigger an explosion of sparks which deals additional damage. Lilac can also jump cancel this move on the ground for the same effect and the move can be jump cancelled in the air if she has hit someone.

Holding the jump button while flying diagonally and hitting a wall will allow Lilac to walljump off the wall and there is also a small 6 frame window where holding the shield button down will allow her to Tech off the walls.

A well timed parry can heavily disrupt her and leave her open to attack. The move goes into pratfall if it ends in the air but on the ground if you hold down a direction Lilac’s feet can carry her as fast as she can fly and her top speed will be enhanced for a brief period of time with the drawback being that for the same amount of time you would spend in pratland, you do not have access to any of your moves apart from Cyclone which resets your dash speed. Plus, most stages simply do not have enough ground to contain your speed.

There is a catch to this move, the energy meter at the bottom takes time to recharge and Lilac cannot channel her boost powers unless this meter is completely full, the move also drains the meter completely.

As of 18th April 2024 Dragon Boost can now clash! If boosting into an opposing Lilac who is also using Dragon Boost the boosting dragons will clash and halt in the same position for a moment, before being destroyed into Boost Breakers as both Lilacs ricochet off each other. You can also collide with Lilac's Dragon Boost with your character if you have an appropriate move by adding the variable "boost_clash" into your character and then doing a detection for it with the opponent, choosing what to do with your character from there.
