Balancing Discussion
Created this thread for some more in depth Lilac balance discussion. After recently dialling back on previous nerfs that resulted in an underpowered character, I want to ensure any future stat changes are well informed before making them, if they even need to be.

So post your thoughts on the character's current gameplay below.

Getting suggestions from one person to give Lilac a multi hit jab as opposed to a single hit. This single hit is cancellable into tilts. I am reluctant to implement a moveset tweak on the grounds of one person when it would require a bit of rebalancing in the process but I do want to know if anyone else feels that she needs a multi hit jab?

I don't think Lilac needs a multi-hit jab myself. I find jab to f-tilt/up-tilt to work great

Imma be fr she feels like, way too OP. There's no way to approach her. How does her cyclone cancel out/damage melee attacks but is also immune to projectiles? And giving her a projectile of her own means rushdown/close up characters can't get in either, then she has shields which make it even harder to damage her. Plus she's crazy fast so it's hard to escape her and has attacks that feel like they come out frame 1, leading to easy high damage combos. Definition of fun to play as but NOT against

The shields don't actually prevent damage, there is a small damage reduction in place at the moment but I might look to remove that. I will be nerfing that projectile to act more like Maypul's and also make sure Cyclone is low priority/can't destroy hitboxes.

I have gone ahead and made the following changes to nerf her:

Cyclone no longer destroys projectiles and has its priority set at the lowest so that most hitboxes can override it.
Dragon Star projectile now does 0 Damage and 0 Knockback, it only marks the opponents. So essentially its a horizontal Maypul projectile

Ftilt Startup 8-> 9
Utilt Startup 4-> 9
Bair Startup 4 -> 8
Nair Startup 6-> 9
Uair Startup 6-> 8

Parrying the rolling hitboxes during FSpecial now sends you into Pratfall instead of Dash.
Also in order to trigger the super dash out of a Dragon Boost you now have to be holding the button either left or right, otherwise it triggers Pratland (you are still locked out of your moves for pratland time when you enter this super speed state)
FSpecial can no longer be Shield cancelled, you now have to commit to it.
Shields now reduce knockback by only 1/3rd, not 1/2
Fire Shield doesn't do damage while you're attacking.

Hopefully these changes still make her fun to play while not making the matchups feel impossible.
