You can only edit existing ones.
I'll have to see what I do with them instead.
By the way, I learned from the Modding Den where the localization files of Vanilla Living Standards are. Now I can use them as a template ^^
The changed living standards will need a lot of work & time.
Everything works now so far.
Slavery indentured are now like 3rd class citizens in terms of their values.
Military servants are also more respected & allowed to have more property + use services. & more.
Political power has been adjusted to the increased values so far.
War Fatigue has been set to 300% when fully garrisoned. Moderate 280% & Reg 200% for
Almost every ethic can now Purge & also Verscalve. Except Xenophiles somehow.
I just need to finish the picture for the drone policies.
Purge for almost all ethics now possible.
Wars now last much longer.
War fatigue from peaceful to militaristic 200%-300%.
Hive's war fatigue is 200%-280%.
Slave types changed. They now consume more amenities & consumer goods depending on the slave type.
Military slaves & indentured slavery sometimes have the best conditions. Indentured slaves are now more like 3rd class citizens. They work a little harder to move up in the society.
Bonuses are added to the base values based on the selected life standards.
Citizenships adapted to the slave type.
Soldier jobs now fight crime by 5. They give an additional 1 stability. For this, the policy modifier was reduced.
The localization was adjusted & changed. The Russian fixed & also adjusted. Better highlighted. The policies folder has been removed as it is no longer necessary. So no more changed vanilla policies will be overwritten by other mods.
The fallen empires jobs have been adjusted so that all have around 16k to 50k army strength. Depending on the number of inhabitants or jobs.
For some vanilla files I still create additional localizations with time. So that no more vanilla files are included as far as it goes.
All languages except German & Russian are in English. All languages that are also supported in Vanilla.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only thing left from the original more army mod in the code are the filenames for the policies. Effects not yet tested in the long term.
A small bugfix for the german localization & updated for the update
+
I lowered the Political Power of full citizens to 200% from 300%, since you get enough influence anyway ^^
Since a mod I used doesn't work anymore since the update & I can't wait, I added similar here. You can now build infinitely many foundries or factories for consumer goods. Just as it was possible with the farm buildings before.
Should also work for Hives, I have not tested now.
The storage capacity of warehouse buildings has also been increased to 5000. They are larger & take a little more time to build & cost a little more.
The energy nexus & grid give 1 extra technician job.
EDIT: I guess I still have to change the technologies for the Nexus. Since the technology does not display the value.
& 1-2 other minimal changes.
EDIT: Yes the ethics folder has broken the factions. Now everything runs again. Apart from the Purge stuff.
Since the update I had to push some preparatory work into the trash ^^ but the living standards are now more understandable built in the code. I just have to redo everything, because I want to adapt it directly to the slave types.
By the way, report any bugs, I can't see everything. If you do not like something or balance suggestions share them as well.
I have already observed some cool effects regarding the long war time. Like for example a militaristic state that starts a war, is just winning it but after 60 years the other neighbor uses his chance & just declared war on the militaristic state ^^ The militarists have lost the won territory & 80% of their territory is occupied. Nevertheless, they do not give up & continue to produce diligently fleets & armies on their remaining worlds :D Whether the savegame still works with my changes I must still test. The militaristic state is there for over 100 years in total war.
They are my friends by the way, but I could not help because I would have to go through Asari territory. They were as strong as I was at the time.
Utopian standard is now available for materialists & also for slaves.
Academic privileges are available for all ethics if you have third class citizens as researchers. Not for working slaves.
Social Welfare is available for all slave types. Since values of the localization did not want to be changed from this standard. I just added a text section. Since workers now have 15% happiness & slaves 20% happiness.
Decadent Standard is not available for worker slaves & still requires the Vanilla Civic.
All standards have been adjusted in consumer goods consumption. Decadent & Utopian standard of living, must now be economically affordable.
The use of services was also adapted to the living standard.
Furthermore, the defensive armies of the fallen have been further strengthened.
The localization for the policies was adjusted. The policy itself, now also has a small description. So that no more _desc is displayed.
The changes to the economy from Real Indu were taken over.
The primitive bureaucrats are still bureaucrats & not politicians. Is probably so intended by the developers & also no matter. Since primitive politicians compared to those of a star empire are rather bureaucrats :D
