Salvation Falls
Salvation Falls - Review by Endless
A short and fun campaign with just some issues

With a modest and natural aesthetic, this campaign set in a small tourist town among the mountains creates a sweet collection of cool and fun levels that are entertaining. Offering simplicity and good progression management, the maps are each distinctive and entertaining, coming together nicely under a single consistency that makes the gameplay quite fluid. The visuals manage to maintain a great taste thanks to their modesty, but at the same time, application of good geometry and a peaceful design for those who like outdoors.

Certain things could be improved, and some areas could use a little more detail to give them depth. In particular, the introduction of a well-designed mountain skybox would do wonders to improve the visual fidelity of the campaign. While the generic fog creates a mysterious aesthetic, the high brightness and full daylight make it somewhat out of place.

The waterfall area could be expanded a bit and even offer different paths, but, by all accounts, it's pretty cool and the shift in theme to subway areas is one that entertains, especially since it offers something different than forests/mountains.

The maps are relaxed for the most part, with the exception of the penultimate map in the waterfall scene. The way the horde spawns is practically unstoppable, and they come right from the direction where the survivors are supposed to advance, which makes it somewhat irritating. Managing multiple tanks can also be a bit more challenging than required.

Overall, the campaign is short, entertaining and visually acceptable. With a few improvements, Salvation Falls has great potential for improvement. On the other hand, it is more than playable in its current form, offering a solid 20-30 minutes of mountainous entertainment.

Population: Lots of zombies. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2770575005
