Warcaskets worthwhile?
These seem really cool, but i'm curious if people are finding that they're worth having?

Having them be completely useless outside of combat is already an enormous drawback, but actually making them completely immune to pain seems (perhaps counterintuitively) a really huge drawback as well? If they're immune to pain, they'll keep on fighting until they die, rather than dropping out when injured, making them way more likely to die in combat. Which always seemed like a huge problem to me, given how valuable pawns are in this game?

I usually use them on people who aren't really good for anything else. And there are some notable benefits:

1. I'm using yayo's combat (with the required warcasket patch) and the armor is very powerful. They seem to be able to shrug off most medium (and some large) caliber shots.

2. They are very cheap to create, and the armor doesn't have durability. Meaning that you don't need to spend time and resources on repairs/replacements

3. It's be best way to block pain without the use of a painstopper

But the issues that you mentioned are totally valid. So you probably shouldn't throw everybody into a warcasket for those reasons. But having a few of them as "special units" might be better than you think. It really depends on what other mods you're running. If you have much better power armor, then honestly just use that.

The weapons can put out serious damage for how cheap they are.
