Thanks for the suggestion!
Further, when I said alternative, I didn't mean replace. Just as an extra option to using the regular menu.
one thing that often happened with the older mod, was that "prevent death" could sometimes turn the game into slowdown mode (essentially lagging everything in terms of framerate and mouse movement, since the game would enter a mode where the 'player has sustained too many injuries and will die loop", but the prevent death frantically tries to top up the players HP turbo quick, to prevent the death.. but it would actually make the game unplayable, unless the player was somehow able to activate the menu and select god mode - which would then wipe all status effects from the player).. but it was not always possible.
one idea to help prevent this (in theory) would be to have an option to "enable god mode temporarily if player takes too much damage when prevent death is enabled"... this is so that Prevent Death can still allow moodlets etc to take place, but God Mode kicks in if that death spiral is taking place...and then disables god mode again. :)
+
another idea is to keep a count of how many times a player in godemode/prevent death mode, actually "would" have been infected/died....and then all xp gained, is reduced by 75% until the player does something, like Eat a days worth of Well Fed, and sleeps "x times" where "x" is that count....and then normal xp gain is resumed :)
(this was just a fun idea for when playing heavily modded games with tons of items and recipes and skills to progress, like hydrocraft etc, where there is too much to re-play if you get to a certain level and then lose your character, especially when just wanting to not fully die to test out the mod casually, but not wanting to cheat too much, so therefore still having some penalty :)
i dont know if these are possible, but could be handy and fun
Hey there, have you tried the new prevent death mode in my mod? I cleaned up some of the codes that make lag spike on the game. When I tested prevent death mod, I had 0 lag with 100+ zombies. If you have a lag spike, you might need to change java settings.
Prevent death mode is only triggered when the player's health is under 30. I might adjust it later, but so far, it is not designed for PvP death or preventing sudden death (e.g., falling)
Also, once you enable God mode, any stats or moods that your character had will be disappeared, which I never wanted. Prevent death mode will not remove any variety of stats or moods. It just restores specific health repeatedly. The mode is suitable for a tester who wants to test out various virus vaccine mods.
And lastly, as I know, there is no way to determine how many users triggered each cheat mode in vanilla. I can make it how many times the user enabled the cheat in a particular map while the mod is activating, but so far, it will be a low-priority future feature.
Thank you for sharing nice ideas. I look forward to hearing about the lag issue.
I don't expect this to actually be considered, but wanted to spitball it nonetheless (I'm a breathing idea factory). I'm also delirious and sick right now.
Hello, and there big NO.
I put a lot of thought into this during the development process, and there is no reason to not use DoLuaChecksum generally. Disabling DoLuaChecksum means that your game (files) is not integrity and may consider that you edited some files for power and also others can (pirates).
This is against fair play and is never good for the other users who want to play properly and fairly.
You may think that is not already fairplay at the point of using cheats, but also keep in mind that this mod isn't just for the users who want to use cheats.
And please note your mind, I will never allow any kind of add-ons that changes the functions or modify my mod.
Hey there,
The feature is already in debug mode, and I might add the healthcheat in the future but not 100% sure if this works 100% intentionally.
Hey there,
As we said in the previous forum, the Necroforge mod is a great tool that people still use nowadays.
It seems a lot of them are broken, and I need to figure out which one will fit with this mod too.
I cannot promise that all of necroforge features will be implemented, but I can promise it will be added someday.
Thank you for the clever idea.
However, it will not be covered in Cheat Menu: Rebirth since there is no way to replace ghost mode.
