Skills & Technologies
Skills, Technologies and Cultural Aversions:
Overview & Values:

Below are racial specific details. This shows my thought process on each race that I edited and attempts to display the changes as good as I can.

Wood Elves:
Overview:
Wood Elves are an isolated race that dwell within Athel Loren. Highly skilled in combat that may even become something far beyond their own brethren. Wood Elves are lucrative and sneaky. Using others for their own purpose as they believe other races aren’t as intelligent as they are.

Wood elves have some of the strongest diplomatic relation bonuses in the game, and have been nerfed massively. This should make them trickier to play as now fostering alliances is harder. Feeding off of alliances is less of an abusive choice, requiring you to prove yourself or dominate them.

Wood Elves Technologies:
  • Asuryan, the Creator: Diplomatic relations with High elves reduced to 10 (from 15)
  • Atharti, Lady of Desire: Diplomatic relations with Dark Elves reduced to 10 (from 15)

Bretonnia:
Overview:
Bretonnia is a race with high principles of chivalry, honor and glory to smite villany and rid them from this world. They should look at villany factions with absolute disdain. However, Vampire Counts are diplomatically clever and rather lucrative, also the close proximity gives them the -20 instead of -60. They can play their cards right. Campaign has to be taken with precautions. This should help people playing barrow legion not being instantly oppressed by all bretonnians.

Bretonnian Technologies:
  • Kings of the Mountains Diplomacy:
Diplomatic relations with Dwarfs reduced to 30 (from 50)
  • Overseas Diplomacy:
Diplomatic relations with High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 20 (from 30)
  • Leader of Men Diplomacy:
Diplomatic relation with Men (Empire, Kislev, Southern Realms) reduced to 10 (from 30)
  • Lords of Athel Loren Diplomacy:
Diplomatic relations with Wood Elves reduced to 30 (from 50)
  • Kings of the Desert Diplomacy:
Diplomatic relations with Tomb Kings reduced to 30 (from 50)
  • Overseas Diplomacy: (For Repanse only)
Diplomatic relations with High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 20 (from 50)
  • Forest’s Edge Decree
Diplomatic penalty with Wood Elves and Bretonnia changed to -30 (from -50)
  • Desert Purge Decree
Diplomatic penalty with Tomb Kings and Bretonnia changed to -30 (from -50)

Dwarfs:
Overview:
Dwarfs have long memories and will hate a lot of races that have wronged them for a long time. They should be a faction that demands to be sated. Being long lived and recording every fault done to Dwarf kind, they’re not easy to please or quick to forgive.

First off, Dwarfs has currently two of the most boring Diplomatic Relations technologies in the game, being able to get +30 relations in total with High Elves (ugh), Men (Bretonnia, Empire, TEB, Kislev) and Lizardmen in the span of 10 turns of research. This is busted and boring and is another reason order factions are insanely strong and can never be stopped. These techs have been appropriately overhauled.

Other Important Changes:
Dwarfs “Hold Grudges” have been altered. Positive events are not 5 times (50 turns) as long fallout as other factions, instead they are 2 times (20 turns) as long. Grudges last just as long, additionally trespassing lasts as long as any other grudge.
Additionally, Karak Kadrin and Clan Angrund can no longer get “Dislikes Dwarfs” personality trait.
Fixed a bug where there was a “blank” personality for a certain generated dwarf personality. Meaning it had no text in their diplomacy screen.
Warhammer 2 Dwarven factions (such as Karak Zorn, Spine of Sotek Dwarfs, Greybeard prospectors) now have “Holds Grudges”.
Clan Angrund starts at war with Clan Mors.

DwarfTechnologies:
  • Dwarfen Diplomats:
Diplomatic relations with Men, High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 0
Added Diplomatic relation with Men (Empire, Kislev, Southern Realms) +10
  • Dwarfen Emissaries:
Diplomatic relations with Men, High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 0
Added Diplomatic relation with Men (Empire, Kislev, Southern Realms) +20
  • Oaths of Loyalty:
Diplomatic relations bonus with Dwarfs reduced to 0
  • High King's Authority:
Diplomatic relations bonus with Dwarfs reduced to 0

The Empire:
Overview: The Empire boasts one of the largest (if not THE) landmasses inhabited by the same race in the World of Warhammer. Stretching far and wide, they are a heavily militarized force that despite their infighting and corruption stand against Chaos at all times and acknowledge factions that share similar foes with friendship.

Other Important Changes:
The Personality trait, “Dislikes the Empire” has been amplified from -15 to -30. Infighting is an actual thing now.

The Empire Technologies:
These technologies are what inspired me to do this whole mod to begin with. I wanted to butcher how ridiculously easy the Empire could become best buds with almost any race. Starting with the 2 strongest factions in the game, High Elves and Dwarfs, they became nigh unbreakable in their friendship. That’s pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring in my opinion, so I decided to make the grim dark of warhammer a bit darker.
  • Emissary to the Prince of Altorf:
Diplomatic relation with Men reduced to +10 (from +25)
    Public order +1 (unchanged)
  • Ambassador to the Phoenix King:
Diplomatic relations with High Elves reduced to 0 (from +50)
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Lothern
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Order of Loremasters
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Avelorn
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Nagarythe
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Yvresse
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Knights of Caledor
  • Ambassador to the Karaz Ankor:
Diplomatic relations with Dwarfs reduced to 0 (from +50)
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Karaz-A-Karak
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Karak Kadrin
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Clan Angrund
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Ironbrow's Expedition
Added Armor-piercing damage +10 vs Dwarfs (all armies)
Added Melee attack +10 vs Dwarfs (all armies)
  • Ambassador to the Royarch of Bretonnia:
Diplomatic relation with bretonnian kingdoms reduced to 0 (from +50)
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Couronne
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Bordeleaux
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Carcassonne
Added Diplomatic relation +20 with Chevaliers de Lyonesse (for Wulfhart in Vortex)
Added bonus vs large +5 vs Bretonnians (all armies)
Added Melee defense +10 vs Bretonnians (all armies)

Other Important Changes:
Pirates of Sartosa and Dreadfleet start at war with one another.
A silly callback to old lore.

Tomb Kings:
[/b]Overview: [/b]
Tyrannical and almighty, the Tomb kings see only power as a sign of respect, to a degree. To the point that the power challenges their own rule, you should be an enemy. Tomb kings see themselves as sovereign and above everyone else.

The Tomb kings have undergone a few changes that I felt was really necessary for them. In vanilla, Tomb King sees power as a good so they get a total of +60 relation with Great Powers. Which to me makes absolutely no sense. They should see higher powers as a direct challenge to their rule.
This is also extra annoying, as Arkhan literally becomes trade god because he likes everybody now. Which is bizarre.

Other Important Changes:
Now Tomb Kings do not gain bonus relations from factions with high power ratings, but a maximum of -20 relations with great power factions. It’s a small negative number, because I believe CA intended Tomb Kings to be quite dormant.
(Basically, instead of having +60 diplomatic relations when severe imperium, you get -20 instead to reflect their slow but sure discontent with you being more powerful than they are.)

Tomb Kings are also hard to please. Positive gain is 50% less effective towards all other races except other Tomb Kings.

High Elves:
Overview:
High Elves are the self proclaimed defenders of the world with little to no natural allies. They stand alone against the darkness, and they would prefer it that way (aside of Teclis). The honors should be theirs to take as the last bastion of the world.

Their hubris is disgusting, and the game does little to nothing to reflect that. They should be garbage at keeping diplomatic relations by honest means with other races. Diplomacy with Dwarfs should be complicated and they will be judged.

Other Important Changes
Several of the High Elves' skills that increase diplomatic relations (Handmaiden, Nobles) have been significantly nerfed. Alith Anar’s renegade skill has changed the diplomatic penalty with high elves from -4/-8 to -3/-6. Alith Anar’s assassination quests have been reduced significantly. maximum of 10 diplomatic bonuses if you assassinate Dark Elf legendary lords.

Lizardmen:
Overview:
Lizardmen follow the ways of their makers, the Old Ones. They obsess over them and find any means to follow their portents. Chaos is the hyper enemy and they lack focus on much elves with their reptilian, alien minds.

Other Important Changes:

Faction effects:
Mazdamundi's "diplomatic relation -10 with most factions" now applies to High Elves too.

Lizardmen are very diplomatically slow. Positive gains and negative gains are 50% less effective towards Lizardmen.

Lizardmen Technologies:
  • Sequence of Command:(Nakai Only)
Diplomatic relations with Men, High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 3 (from 10)
  • Sequence of War:(Nakai Only)
Diplomatic relations with Men, High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 4 (from 15)
  • Sequence of Military:(Nakai Only)
Diplomatic relations with Men, High Elves and Lizardmen reduced to 5 (from 20)
  • Sequence of Unification:(Nakai Only)
Diplomatic relations with Lizardmen is reduced to 15 (from 20)

This is actually very well thought out. One thing i would want to clear up is in the "Dwarfs Cultural Aversions/Affinities" section, i think the fifth item should say greenskin instead it says skaven. Just a minor thing that confused me a little. I could be wrong though, please tell me if that is the case.
