The problem with this concept is that it's really easy and simple to execute when you use an enclosed elevator to mask the way the floors change. It's harder to imitate when you use a train map with opened surroundings and I'd have to build an entirely separate map just to give this concept a shot. But it's an interesting idea and I'd want to try it out some time.
Looking into this right now. The way func_tracktrains work in source engine made me think that they would kill you anyways, but seems like it's not the case.

It already works that way. The props are pushed back and then despawned after a while. If you're talking about NPCs, unfortunately the push doesn't affect clientside ragdolls after their death so you need to have "Keep corpses" on.
