Items drop on death in Rundown
If you ever so happen to die in a Rundown excursion your items drop on death like they do on any normal planet, problem is: rundown excursions are instance worlds, meaning you lose every item you drop without the option of getting them back... ever.
This is really frustrating because this doesn't happen in any other of the GiC instance worlds (because it really shouldn't... making you lose everything you drop without the opportunity to pick them back up because they just get deleted upon the de-loading of the instance world is just... really unfair)

I know, i know, people are gonna tell me "just don't die", but that isn't the issue, GiC can and will kill you fast if you don't pay attention, and one mistake costing you multiple hours if you didn't make a trip back to store everything doesn't feel like it's in the spirit of the rest of the mod.

Rundown: The Admin (requires 3 keycards from Prison Complex first)
Unlocks: RUNDOWNS - Repeatable, high-risk missions where you're tasked with diving into the BUNKER COMPLEX to obtain ARTIFACTs, but drop items on death.

That is the gimmick of rundowns. You will permanently lose items there, unlike other areas. It is a high-risk high-reward zone where you shouldn't be bringing everything with you.

I will lend you credence however and understand that the quest text did not state "permanent" loss. I will update accordingly for 4.0.

If you were playing survival mode (and not modified hardcore that makes you drop actually everything), you should only have lost trivial things like ammunition, consumables, and some blocks if you had any on you. You shouldn't go into rundowns with too much gear next time, and you should offload equipment. This shouldn't be a problem unless you have inventory extension mods and are carrying too much in the first place.

gotta admit... i was probably a little too frustrated to make a well structured critique and i realised later that i didn't really lose that much (i may or may not have had like 400 titanium bars but honestly... what do i even need that much for and i can just get some pixels and buy them back from the outpost shop)

on another note: i'm genuinely impressed and thankful for not just the incredibly high quality of the mod but the fact that it's still being actively kept up. starbound is one of my all-time favorite games and things like the mod developers actively engaging in the community around it even years later just warms my heart :D

You're all good, man.

And thanks for the kind words.
