I saw that another post talked about evolution but their problem is different to mine. I am currently playing a heavily modded play-through that makes it rather very very hard to beat the game without evolution on my weapons and it seems like they do not work at all. I pressed all the hot-bar keys to open up armor or weapon evolution and it doesn't work, the weapons do not say they leveled up after fighting enough enemies, and unfortunately, it causes fighting the basic of enemies rather difficult. The Wall of Flesh is almost impossible due to one of my mods (I don't know which mod causes it) allows the Wall to heal up after a bit of not attacking it, and it spawns too many eaters for me to penetrate with the only ranged weapon that seems to work well for pre-hardmode.

could it be due to all my mods or is it just because of some unrelated issue that is causing me not to be able to level my weapons and armor?
