Nuclear Shell inner slot removed?

I noticed that I can no longer place explosives bricks (or anything for that matter) since the latest big update. I was wondering if you guys can bring that back? Nuclear shell on it's own kinda sucks, and would have no use, where you could just craft a regular shell with a volatile comp N or a dirty bomb.
