Noob question:

After I edit the file to remove the spooks as instructed,
where do i place the @Folder? I placed it in my root A3 directory
but since there is no "Addon" folder inside it does not appear in as
a functional Addon. Hope that makes sense. Please advise.

You need to find your mpmissions folder. Try
Documents > Arma 3 > mpmissions
or
Documents > Arma 3 - Other Profiles > USERNAME > mpmissions

Then open the mission in Eden to edit, export, etc.
