Potentially Frequently Asked Questions and also potentially any other question asked in the future.
Q: "I subscribed to the mod but I don't see the mod, what do I do?"

A: In main menu, click Mods, then if it says "Mods: Disabled", click the arrow, then click the respective mod you want to see, hit "Apply Changes" and voila! And to disable just the one mod just go back to Mods in the main menu, click on the respective mod and hit "Apply Changes".


Q: "Why don't the ants spawned from Pheromones skill attack or even move, is that intentional or not?"

A: Those ants are programmed in such a way that the ants only attack the enemies that you targeted with the spell, if you were to use the spell again on different enemies, then those ants and already previously spawned ants would be able to target those enemies. To make full use of this you can move command these ants towards the affected enemies and they will start attacking properly until they have no more targets.


Q: "Does this mod work/is it compatible with the DLC and will there be content made for it?"

A: Yes it is compatible but as much as I would like to there will NOT be content made for the DLC as I do not want to essentially "paywall" exclusive content that I assume not all players have access to, there is also the fact that trying to support the DLC essentially requires a second version of the mod because it is currently very unreliable and difficult for us modders to support both vanilla and DLC versions at the same time without compromising support for one or the other, until then even if I went past the "not wanting a paywall" phase, it would still be next to if not impossible for me to support the DLC without compromising the vanilla side.


Q: "I have a bug crash with an error message, what do I do?"

A: Either reply to this discussion with the error in question, make a new discussion, or what I recommend the most is contacting me via the Hero's Hour discord, especially if it's related to Colony's unique mechanics.


Q: "I saw you mention this is the "only officially supported mod", how do I get my mod to get officially supported"

A: Because this was the first faction mod, it got to get officially supported by essentially creating the unique mechanics literally inside the game's code, but now that custom scripting is a thing and that you can make your own mechanics through that, there will be no more officially supported mods.
