ARK: Survival Evolved

Cross-Genesis 2
Over my head
I started playing not long ago on a friends server and installed the mods he told me to including this one. Then I started playing solo and used the same mod list.

The only dino I'm having trouble with on the Island are the Noglins. I haven't unlocked Tek yet so I'm still using tames in caves. It took me a while to figure out why my tames were killing me in the Central & Swamp caves. lol

I'm conflicted about removing the Noglins. I don't need to, I can use robots (enforcers, the ones that roll, etc...) in the caves where the Noglins are but don't know how to read this...

DinoSpawnEntriesCave5_C, DinoSpawnEntriesCave7-Fliers_C, DinoSpawnEntriesSwampCave_C, SE_DinoSpawnEntriesCanyonCave_C, AB_DinoSpawnEntries_ElementalChamber_C, SE_DinoSpawnEntriesWyvernTrench_C

I know they're in the Swamp & Central caves but I don't know if the Central cave is 5 or 7, and I don't know what the other cave is. Can someone help me figure out which cave is the 3rd cave?

Thanks, took me a while but I got there.

One more question. I recently went hunting for Dung Beetles and searched 4 of the caves where they spawn and didn't find any. 3 of the caves didn't have any of your spawns........ at least I don't think they did (S Cave, S Central Cave, & Lava Cave). I think 2 of those caves have a 100% chance of a Dung Beetle Spawn. This mod can't cause the Dung Beetles not to spawn, or can it?

Nope. Even if it was falling on the incredibly tiny chance that the game would select additional spawns over and over again instead of vanilla ones, the limiters wouldn't allow it and it would not be able to fill itself with only modded additions. I don't remember if I added to those caves (I added to very few, since they tend to be used in poor places on official modmaps and I don't want to make any caves terrible to complete), but I do recall cave spawns sometimes being really inconsistent in SP, preventing hibernation might help but you'd need to dinowipe before removing the launch option again or you'll crash when you remove it

As an aside: spawns as a whole aren't really guaranteed except in a few very specific cases (solo spawners which then have timers so are still only sometimes going to have something, and low limiters which can force some spawns), they're a very random system by design. A 100% chance is only really true in the context of 'a chance for this creature to spawn *when the group its in has already been chosen*' which is typically used for group spawns (a chance of 3 wolves, or 5 wolves, for example)

Thanks. A lot of that I didn't understand but I'll take your word for it. lol, I ended up just spawning some Dung Beetles since they can't reproduce anyway. Thanks for the explanation though :)
