Bug Reports

Bugs are inevitable, and there's only so much one developer or modder can discover through play testing on their own!

Please provide as much information as possible! Locations, characters, skills (either on toolbar or equipped), when it occurred (combat, peace, cinematic). Also let me know if you have other mods activated.

Known Issues

Icons are not showing up!
Status effects are not happening, or showing up!
This mod now requires Cleric - Shared Resources, which contains a combined texture atlas for all of my mods as well as some universal status effects. Please ensure it is downloaded and above Deadeye in your load order.

Trader doesn't have [book]?
1: Traders only restock with certain events. If you are certain you've NEVER talked with a merchant and they don't have the books available despite the mod being active, please let me know. Traders you HAVE spoken with prior to activating the mod will only have the books when they restock (their inventory will update on level up and when switching acts). Please also keep in mind that Deadeye skillbooks are only located at Scoundrel vendors, NOT huntsman ones.

Additional Request
Please be informative and courteous in reports and replies. Suggestions for this mod that include new features are generally not going to be actionable as the mod in it's current form is complete save any bugs or issues that might need ironing out.

I think I found a bug, not sure though.
The tutorial keeps crashing my game with the Dead Eye class mod.
First time was when I opened a crate on the tutorial deck.
Second was on the main deck with the other characters when I tried to talk to beast.

Strangly, I could talk to the Magisters just fine before.

As I said not sure if this is a bug with the mod or just my Pc being a a-hole.

Okay I tested it for two days now, it does not crash anymore.
My guess is that my large number of mods, over 30, caused some interference.
After placing the Dead Eye mod on the very top of the mod list it runs now as good as before.

I found a few problems so far:
Sometimes when Deadeye's Mark stack is supposed to be generated, it just doesn't.
Marking a new target fully resets your Mark Stacks back to 1 and being at max stacks of Deadeye's Mark while generating 1 additional mark will put you back down to 1 stack, so it's incredibly difficult to get to max stacks sometimes

Marking a target sets you at 1 malice is intentional.
Mark/Malice/Judgement is meant for a single target. If you can't get to max stacks, it means you didn't need to and you've wasted death's judgement. It is supposed to reset after each DJ and each new target.

As for not gaining malice, I am unsure.
The requirements to gain malice are
  • Have the Death's Gaze buff on you (4 turns duration, applied when using Mark)
  • Use a Deadeye skill that targets an enemy.
  • Invested into scoundrel enough to gain the next stage (1 point invested for each stage, max 5 stages / 5 scoundrel)

I've used several skills that generate the mark but I gain nothing. It's only after I mark a target that I start gaining stacks once more. I've played it up to level 12~ish. Death's Gaze didn't proc after marking sometimes as well, not sure why. I think Walk it Off on enemies might be affecting it

I'll check interactions and make sure it's all functioning as intended.

I think you've mixed up some terms, only one skill marks targets and that's Deadeye's Mark. You're only supposed to gain stacks of Malice after a target is marked. So that at least sounds like it's working as intended.

Right, sorry. But yeah, malice stacks arent generating sometimes. Might be something on my end but I cant be certain

Hey :)

At first: Sorry for my english, but i hope it will be understandable.

I guess i found a bug but i'm quite unsure:
When Malice is stacking the skill Death's Judgement will appear in the skill bar. But sometimes it doesn´t show up after it´s stacking and i need to drag it from the skillbook.

Anyway a good mod so far :)

Yeah, each Death's Judgement is it's own seperate skills, so when the status changes, the skill is removed and another one added. Depending on the options you have checked, and just the awkwardness of the engine, it doesn't always remove/add properly.

Mostly it's just the skill Death's Judgement: Stage 2, the other stages are working fine.
But well, new skills should usually automatically add to my skill bar, but like i said, stage 2 doesn´t show up.

But it's not that big deal. Thank you for answering that fast! :)

"Shadow Meld" and "Ensnaring Snipe" are missing on the trader. Just tried to find them with lvl 20, but they don't appear.

I don't know why I didn't see this, and I apologize. I fixed it, as well as a couple other skills that were not showing up.
