Changelog

  • New node-based landform editor which is more flexible and easier to work with than the old listing-based one, also has live previews and many new customisation features.
  • New landform Skerry added, a small rocky island with little to no vegetation. A very challenging landform because of the extremely limited supply of food and wood.
  • New landform Badlands added, a very dry, heavily eroded area with minimal vegetation, mostly unsuitable for agriculture. The only consolation here are the beautiful rock formations.
  • New landform Desert Plateau added, an island of stony ground sourrounded by desert, with some small patches of soil and maybe a tiny pool of fresh water as the only source of life, making this an extremely challenging landform. Suggested by Aranador.
  • Integration with Prepare Landing, this patches that mod to add filtering by landform.
  • Ore lump amounts now controlled by landforms, adjusted based on amount of rock. This should hopefully fix the issue many players have reported of not finding ore in some landforms.
  • New compatibility layer for MapReroll, previews should now be fully accurate. Also fixes a bug in MapReroll that makes terrain less varied.
  • Completely reworked map generator code, including more efficient and stable RNG engine.
  • Many small stability and performance improvements.
