Just a small bug to report though - nothing gamebreaking but a slight annoyance. My avian crewmember sometimes seems to get stuck hollering a warcry when they attack things, and end up spamming attack messages over and over even a bit of time after the enemy is dead.
So far I've only seen this affect the avian, however most of my crew are modded races so I don't know if it's unique to the birds or if it would affect other vanilla races too. If I see it happen to anyone else I'll mention it for reference.
Yes, please send the log. Starting to think this is related to the Saturday update.
When I asked around, I was told that other people had similar issues and it was tracked down to two particular mods, one of which being this one (the other being Crew Customization +), because they reportedly cause a stack overflow in the player init by using a global rather than a local for "oldinit" when adding functions to the player init.
I'm not exactly sure what any of that means, but removing this mod and CC+, and nothing else, has fixed pretty much all of the aforementioned issues and made everything work normally again, while the reverse (e.g. removing Pandora's Box and other Monster Core sub-mods while keeping this mod and CC+ installed) was not the case, so whatever it is, that observation seems to add up.
I'm not sure whether this issue is due to anything on your end specifically (i.e. the incompatibility might be on Pandora's Box and/or Monster Core's side rather than yours, or it might be solely a CC+ issue), nor if it's only caused if this mod is run alongside CC+, but I figured it might not hurt if I reported this in here just in case. Do you think you could try looking into the player init stack overflow issue to see if it may be the culprit for the incompatibility with Pandora's Box and the capture pods in general?
Everything seems to be working normally now. Thank you.
If it helps at all, I've noticed that while SAIL recognizes the crew's existence, the Crew Customization+ window doesn't see them and leaves a blank window. Strangely, I also received the Captain of the Year achievement at some point when this was happening, despite having only 4 crew members, very odd.
EDIT: For real if it doesn't happen to everyone, and I can't replicate it on my game and people actually having the issue don't share logs this is going to be VERY difficult to try to fix.
EDIT 2: Your description makes it extra weird, so your log is particularly valuable to me. This mod in no way changes the amount of followers you can have, you need another mod for that. Also it doesn't interfere with the vanilla recruiting process, so there is no obvious reason why Crew Customization+ doesn't see them, much less to get an achievement. This smells like bad interaction with another mod.
Another unusual detail I noticed, every crew member will simultaneously say their lines for staying in one place once you spawn in, spooky.
"[15:31:36.967] [Error] Exception while invoking lua function 'update'. (LuaException) Error code 2, [string "/scripts/companions/petspawner.lua"]:159: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value (field 'baseMultiplier')"
Sounds like an interaction with another mod as mi mod doesn't even reference the pet spawner script. Looking into it.
