Bug reports
Please use this section to report any problems you might be having. Sharing your log helps me see if I can identify the issue. Your log is inside the storage folder, which is inside the game folder. Something along the lines of:

SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Starbound/storage/starbound.log

You can get there easily by going to your library, right clicking on Starbound and going to "Manage" -> "Browse Local FIles".

Don't paste the log straight here though. It can be super long. Instead upload it to your google drive or similar service and share the link. Otherwise you can paste it in a service like pastebin (https://pastebin.com/) and share the link.

Hey, been testing this mod out tonight, I like it^^ Thanks for bringing it to us :D

Just a small bug to report though - nothing gamebreaking but a slight annoyance. My avian crewmember sometimes seems to get stuck hollering a warcry when they attack things, and end up spamming attack messages over and over even a bit of time after the enemy is dead.

So far I've only seen this affect the avian, however most of my crew are modded races so I don't know if it's unique to the birds or if it would affect other vanilla races too. If I see it happen to anyone else I'll mention it for reference.

Oh, that's intresting. Since all races should be using the same behavior tree, it should be affecting all races. But there must be very specific circumstances that cause it. (I did many takes with the tutorial video which precisely portrays an Avian follower and never saw it happen). I will check the behavior tress for potential oversights. Thanks for the report.

Glad to assist, and a little update: I have now seen it happen with a couple of the modded races' crewmembers too, so yeah it looks like it can happen with others. As I said it's not a major issue, just a bit of spam and a hint of immersion loss once in a while.

Not sure if this is just my game trying to give me a brain aneurysm, but I cannot for the life of me get crew members to follow me with this mod enabled. Checking the log reveals a string of the same error whenever I try to press E on a crew member in my ship. Fixes itself upon mod removal, but this isn't working. I can send the log if ya need it.

Yes, please send the log. Starting to think this is related to the Saturday update.

The log actually ended up getting too bloated to load, and I had to roll back on an earlier backup since the game kept crashing whenever loading the character. Looks like the mod works now with the rollback, apologies for being unable to send you a log...

No worries. I appreciate reports because, well, I use the mod too, so I want it to be the best it can.

I noticed this seems to break Pandora's Box; whenever this mod is installed, using a capture pod is glitchy and, after you capture a monster, it stops working completely and causes your character to freeze facing one direction whenever you hold the filled capture pod, and attempting to toss it results in nothing happening in-game while generating error messages in the game log. I also had some other, more personal mods (generally stuff that utilize the Monster Core mod as a dependency) break when used alongside this, particularly those that add or modify entity interactions in general.

When I asked around, I was told that other people had similar issues and it was tracked down to two particular mods, one of which being this one (the other being Crew Customization +), because they reportedly cause a stack overflow in the player init by using a global rather than a local for "oldinit" when adding functions to the player init.

I'm not exactly sure what any of that means, but removing this mod and CC+, and nothing else, has fixed pretty much all of the aforementioned issues and made everything work normally again, while the reverse (e.g. removing Pandora's Box and other Monster Core sub-mods while keeping this mod and CC+ installed) was not the case, so whatever it is, that observation seems to add up.

I'm not sure whether this issue is due to anything on your end specifically (i.e. the incompatibility might be on Pandora's Box and/or Monster Core's side rather than yours, or it might be solely a CC+ issue), nor if it's only caused if this mod is run alongside CC+, but I figured it might not hurt if I reported this in here just in case. Do you think you could try looking into the player init stack overflow issue to see if it may be the culprit for the incompatibility with Pandora's Box and the capture pods in general?

Hello, the new update seems to be generating some weird behavior. Most of my crew's clothing and gear reverted to the default, although that is reflected in the CrewCustomz+ mod interface as well. I have several copies of one of my crew members, When I tell a crew member to follow with 'E', they do so on the ship, but I can't tell them to stop, and when I beam down to a planet they don't come with me. The captain's hand also no longer seems to work. Log seems to indicate that the local value 'partyOrder' is a nil value, which seems to be causing problems.

Hopefully this problem and other "arrays that sometimes don't behave like arrays" issues have been solved in version 1.1.2

Everything seems to be working normally now. Thank you.

Heya, saw someone else was having this issue too, I can no longer interact with my crew members with this mod installed as of a recent update.

If it helps at all, I've noticed that while SAIL recognizes the crew's existence, the Crew Customization+ window doesn't see them and leaves a blank window. Strangely, I also received the Captain of the Year achievement at some point when this was happening, despite having only 4 crew members, very odd.

Please share your log. No one has shared a log where this is happening.

EDIT: For real if it doesn't happen to everyone, and I can't replicate it on my game and people actually having the issue don't share logs this is going to be VERY difficult to try to fix.

EDIT 2: Your description makes it extra weird, so your log is particularly valuable to me. This mod in no way changes the amount of followers you can have, you need another mod for that. Also it doesn't interfere with the vanilla recruiting process, so there is no obvious reason why Crew Customization+ doesn't see them, much less to get an achievement. This smells like bad interaction with another mod.

Here's a fresh log I grabbed after desperately waving my arms in front of my crew members again: https://pastebin.com/yZ8Gy13M

Another unusual detail I noticed, every crew member will simultaneously say their lines for staying in one place once you spawn in, spooky.

Thank you. Very interesting. And puzzling.

"[15:31:36.967] [Error] Exception while invoking lua function 'update'. (LuaException) Error code 2, [string "/scripts/companions/petspawner.lua"]:159: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value (field 'baseMultiplier')"

Sounds like an interaction with another mod as mi mod doesn't even reference the pet spawner script. Looking into it.
