Zardos Connector Passageway & More

Bug Reports Thread
This should be a default pinned post on all functional blocks honestly.

I am not the Dev of this mod.
I do not personally know the Dev (yet) of this mod.
You're welcome Dev, Post your preferred requirements. I suggest a Log File, you might encounter Keen Softwarehouse problems associated to your respective function block you modified (connectors, air vents, oxygen farms, etc), in your case: Keen randomly breaks connectors recognizing eachother, a hardened code could withstand this if they used their own check instead of Keen's default, or from using a whitelist of connectors, though this could be subjected to variable naming systems from Keen, or from mods, gotta fight the obsolescence.

Thankd Blue64 this may come in handy :)

somehow some of the connector passageways that I place I can walk right through and some are solid and impassable. Am I missing a setting or is this some sort of collision glitch?

Okay, figured my problem out. The Connector becomes passable once I build block above and below it, just blocks behind it don't make it passable.

@Zardo
The block has an issue with it's initial placement in survival mode. The block passageway is not able to be used until you fully weld the block AND update the block grid. After you have done this however you can grind it down and are still able to pass through the section successfully. Don't know why this is happening though.

What do you do to force this grid update?

i shoot at it with the rocket launcher, after that it is passable. the problem exists with several mods

You can simply place another block on the grid. At least that is what I did. Anything that make SE to update the block grid

weirdly to me I often takes more than one block to do that "grid update" placing a block above and below the middle works fine though.
Blue64 29 Mar, 2022 @ 11:58am
Try placing a Function Block (anything using computers, AKA "hackables"), A Control Panel should force a grid update if nothing else works. I use a Light because I use a Mod to add Control Panel access points where each light would connect to wiring, though I wouldn't suggest something without Computers; my issues usually are graphical or physics engine related.

Edit: Once I knew what a Grid Update required, I could identify my own activity.

That problem with the impassability of the block once placed in survival, were you need to update the grid to make it work, seems to stem from a bug in the blender SEUT plugin. plz get the beta and rerender :p2cube:

What if we don't want to play Beta Space Engineers?

This message was intended for the creator of the mod, not the users... They need to rerender with a beta update to Seut in Blender to fix that bug.

Phrasing was vague, like you can see; I was under the impression you were just telling everyone "this is fixed in the latest SE Beta" which wasn't what you had been saying. Thank you for this updated explanation.

Thanks for the heads up @wookie! That allowed me to fix it <3

so, sometimes when I place the new connector junction majig, it doesn't visibly show up and I have to keep deleting it and placing it until it does, I'm in creative btw. :)
