Q&A
WHAT YOU MEAN WITH EVOLVING NAMES?
  • By evolving names, we mean that a faction name will change over time, based on how large or small they are.

    For example,
Playing as Grimgor, your tribe status raises up to being Da Great WAAAGH! once taken over 15 regions. Then Da Prophesied WAAAGH! once controlling 30 regions. And lastly Da Green Tide! once control 60 regions. Wherever on the map!

It's not turned based. The name will change once the requirements are met, no matter if turn 20, 150, 500 or 457266466. It is, in essence, a progressive name change to reflect the player's dominion.

DO THE CHANGES ONLY APPLY FOR THE PLAYABLE FACTIONS?
  • The names that make sense are added for the non-playable factions too even if not listed in the faction lists. Meaning, for example, all Skaven clans can become the Under-Empire if get the provinces needed. Not just the playable/mentioned ones.

WHERE DO I SEE ALL OF THE NEW NAMES ADDED?

COMPATABILITY?
  • The mod manager might say the mod is made in an outdated version. But it will still work perfectly fine. It's save game compatible and works with both SFO and 99% of any other mods.

BUT it seems to be an mod conflict issue with the One Button Respec mod. Which makes the turn times super slow if both mods used together.

To solve this, I will quote a post by Cassius in the comments:
    ----------------------
There is definitely a mod conflict resulting in slow turn times.
Like @rhizomatic was experiencing the game was unplayable so to track down the culprit I turned off every mod installed until the only two remaining were this and Mod Configuration Tool: Reborn. The game ran fast again without MCT enabled and slow when enabled. I then went into the WH2 directory and looked at the mct_settings.lua and there was a leftover record ["obr"] which is the One Button Respec mod. I deleted mct_settings.lua entirely and re-enabled all my mods, except OBR, setup all my mod configuration like they used to be and the turn timers are fast again.
I have no idea how the relationship of these mods caused the issue but I haven't experienced it since.
