If you're running your own server, you need to overwrite your mod file on your server directory with the mod file that is in the directory your client uses. Go find this mod in the Steam mods folder and just copy paste it into your server's mod folder. Remember, subscribing to the mod updates the mod automatically for your client, so you can take that auto updated version and just copy it over to the server directory which does NOT auto update.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I can on my provider's server. Can't find this mod to replace it in the file service

Why is there a mod mismatch error telling me I have version 2.0.4 ?
Isn't this mod on version 2.0.0 ???
It is also always queued, no matter what we do.
Rebooted teh server, removed & reinstalled the mod on the servers, on the individual player's computers... nana.
Half of the players can log in, half can't because they have a mod mismatch.
1. Was there ever a 2.0.4 version?
2. is this a mod issue or Steam issue?
3. is this a server issue via Gportal, or an individual client player issue?

Anyone?

I have the exact same problem. Since the update yesterday 1/21/24. I am the owner and admin of my private server hosted through GPortal.
How/where do I find the actual mod version number? The launcher is showing 2.0.4 and I get the "wrong version" error.
Two other people have been logging in without any problem.
I have validated my files, tries Big Picture Mode, Unsubscribed, and even deleted my entire mod folder for Steam (because I could not find the TAA.pak). I am still getting "wrong version".

So, I have the same questions. Is this a mod issue, a Steam issue, or a Gportal issue?

THIS was the answer I needed. I'm running a small dedicated server on GPortal, so I used FileZilla to get FTP access to the server files and replaced the .pak file with the updated one on my computer. It was that simple.

(btw, for anyone trying this, it's important to note that the mod files on GPortal use the 10-digit mod number instead of the naming convention on your PC. Just rename it "2791028919.pak" before you upload and overwrite it into the mod folder 👍)

What is the name of the Thralls Are Alive pak file? I found a folder in my Steamapps workshop folder named "2791028919" but the pak file is named SerenaBadlands.pak? Is this it? I don't have any mods named Serena . . . . .

Update: YES! this worked. I am not a modder or a programmer, so I had to do some sluething to figure out how to do this, but IT WORKED!

A few notes for anyone else falling down this rabbit hole:
1) the TAA pak file is named "SerenaBadlands"
2) the number 2791028919 is the mod number assigned by Steam and can be found in the address bar of the mod page (also on the page you are reading this on) Don't judge, I had to figure this out and i figure maybe I can help some other non-programmers out there.
3) FileZilla worked great and was easy to use
4) (maybe this should have been #1) This is a Gportal problem, not a mod problem and not a Steam problem.

So, I had to do this same process for Ships of the Exiles as well. And I have access to my servers again!

I love Thralls Are Alive and willingly jump through hoops, fall down rabbit holes and even go out of my way to learn a thing or two to keep it on my servers! Thank you, Mod Author for an amazing mod!
