VC loss mechanics a bit ridiculous
So, im playing Vlakya the bloody, endgame crisis with VC triggers.
I fight with one stack of mine vs. 2 of theirs, kill 2 lords, the war engines, and about half their army before they all crumble. this is on AIs turn.
Right after the victory the same 2 armies attack me again with literally everything back to 80% health, Mortis engine, same 2 lvl 22 lords, cairn wraiths, is all back at 70-80% health.
fighting that first battle for ~20min seems like an utter waste of time.

what gives ? I mean I get the Idea behind VC and that they resurrect SOME of their lost units at the end of battle but brining back the bloody lords with almost full health is ridiculous, especially after a defeat for them.

Yes, its vanilla mechanic added in wh3. They have chance to resurrect. Enjoy.

Coming off my long WE campaign I found it rather hilarious that the most difficult faction to deal with was the undead. Their revive mechanic is way too strong in it's current form and I'd wipe an attacking army only to have 80+% instantly revive. It makes more defensive battles rather impossible so I ended up just turtling the tree near Caravan with a full stack defense.

Same campaign I had an impotent Mannfred attack a garrison for 15 turns in a row since he was alone but kept resurrecting.

Completely possible to overcome but I didn't want to dedicate my sister's army to eradicating them and fighting them without a doomstack can be extremely rough when they bring multiple stacks. Nothing like winning a fight vs three stacks of undead only for one of the reinforcement stacks to trigger another battle where you fight them all again post rez. Repeat for every additional stack.

It was pretty galling to be attacked by a vampire coast army, defeat them with heavy losses for me, have them resurrect and retreat backward in to their own territory... whilst having most of their units and their legendary lord come back... and then have them replenish to full health because they're on their turf. Cool, so my "victory" leaves me still completely f$%ked.

yep, its utter garbage at the moment...when the AI undead attack a settlement they ALWAYS attack wice each end turn phase because of this ridiculous thing. so the only way to deal with attacking undead at the back of beyond is to put armies everywhere. extremely annoying.
