Runic Forge Mechanic
I miss your runic forge mechanic for the Dwarves so bad. It felt right to have late game upgrades as the Dwarves, and was in my opinion significantly better than the forge mechanic added by CA, like I want my runes to feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powerful, because I worked for them, not 500 oathgold for an artillery self destruct rune (banner) that I only get one of. Like CA was fairly creative with the forge mechanics rune effects, but it just adds so much bloat and micromanagement. I want my Dwarven armies to feel cohesive and like I've invested A LOT into them, the CA rune mechanic of adding a banner to buff a single unit, feels weird because I am making a large investment to add more micro, to also make my army less cohesive since now I have one unit who is more buffed than the rest. Love the CA forge mechanic for the crafting of items tho, as a Dwarf, it feels like I should be able to forge an OP sword using twenty turns worth of oathgold, but ten turns of oathgold to give one artillery unit, in one army, snipe and stalk? That don't feel right. Late game when I'm facing my end times scenario, I want to feel the power of all my Dwarf Warriors having magic attack, my artillery having 25% bonus range! To feel like I've earned that power through Dwarven might and perseverance! And more importantly significant investment.

I would trade the CA forge rune system for your old runic forge system in a heartbeat. I appreciate you kept the system in partially, where legendary lords can use a skill point at level thirty to get one of the old systems runes for the whole army. I do agree it would add bloat tho as you said in your changelog. Just a shame, I know i'd be okay with it still being in, but probably only because of how much I willfully ignore the forge rune system lol. I'm probably going to download WH2 and play the old SFO on there, with the old system.

Wanted to see if anyone else feels the same.

Thank you so much for creating this beautiful work of art.
