Katarin Is unplayable
Me and a buddy in MP are playing IE and when I play Katarin she doesn't get enough EXP from the first battle to get a level up which gives her the 5% movement skill she needs to hit the settlement all in turn 1. If you don't level you don't make it in 1 turn to capture your first settlement. and you get hit by not only attrition but another AI enemy army that re garrisons at that settlement and theres like 12 units to 8 that almost always lose.

Yeah you can't hit that settlement turn 1 but that hardly makes her unplayable. My starts with her have generally been smooth but I guess that's just cuz I'm used to wild times with boris.

Anyway try this, fight first battle then force march to right across the bridge next to Kislev, then recruit a lord there and 3x units in his army, then take the settlement turn 2 and snowball from there.

While it dont make Kararin unplayable, i do agree this makes Katarin's campaign needlessly hard.
It can be a serious issue not being able to reach that settlement in the first turn.

Its thankfully easy to fix.
Just move her start position slightly towards the settlement.
Or give her +5% move.
