the chaingun, why's it sound like its firerate is lowering after you fire it? also the chaingun uses the same 'technology' as the coilgun, they should likely sound the same but make one faster.

Because the chaingun's high firerate takes up all of the audio channels once it gets going. It's a game limitation that I can't simply can't fix without some strange workaround like making its sound files extremely short and weird-sounding.

The chaingun sounds different because it has different behavior, ammo, and projectiles compared to a regular coilgun. It made more sense when I was actually putting the sounds together.

ah i see. understandable and otherwise, the sounds are great and all make a great deal of sense. the coilgun sounds like well, a coilgun and not an mg.

Please duplicate the same sounds for all variations of shots - from time to time at the beginning of the round, the developer console appears due to the fact that the game is trying to find missing files

The issue here is that, as far as I know, Barotrauma itself is looking down the wrong file path to find vanilla sound files that are still very much there. I don't know how to fix it at this current point in time.

But to my knowledge, this bug is more or less completely harmless outside of it just opening your console. This has been added to the main page to clear up any confusion.

You were able to replace 2 sounds of a coilgun and 1 sound of a railgun - specifically they are not causing an errors. Looks only for missing files. Try to duplicate these same files, only rename them to the corresponding missing files (coilgun3, coilgun4 etc.)

And there's the problem I don't understand, every weapon sound is already accounted for. Coilgun sounds 1-6 have replacements, Railgun sounds 1-3 have replacements and so on.
