No issues running other lists that have you mod in them (chorfs, dwarves, etc...) Hell, you are one of the base line mods that I build my lists around (thanks for that btw.) But I have not run just your mod with Orion yet to test validity. Will try again tonight after kid asleep and I can bug hunt if it is a conflict or something that may be glitching in your mod.

Wow, quite the mod list! Thanks for the follow-up. I skimmed it and did some spot checking, but nothing jumped out at me as a culprit (ofc, I'm only familiar with a fraction of them). A few additional questions:

1. At what point is the CTD? (during battle load, when starting the battle, when assigning units to the AI, at victory, when ending the battle, etc)?

2. If the crash happens any time besides when you assign units to the AI how did you determine that AI General was the cause? Did you try running everything in your mod list without AI General, for example?

3. Does this happen 100% of the time in every kind of Orion battle in which you use AI General? If not, have you noticed any pattern involving what types of battles cause this (e.g. only minor settlement battles, only battles with waywatchers, etc)?

4. (I appreciate you offering to test with just AI General, since that would be useful info as well)

1. The CTD happens during the battle at anytime that I use the AI button to assign the AI to Orion, not any other units.

Hrrrmmmmmmm...

I started a vanilla Orion with only AI general and ran battles that I started, the AI started, I ran away from then rengaged, siege battles (me getting and giving) and tried starting the battle before using the AI button and assigning the AI control before the battle and no crash.

I am guessing it is in my list of mods then. I will hunt some more and try various permutations of the list and AI general and see if I ever come across the culprit.

Thanks for your mod work, I will keep you up to date if I ever find anything.

Interesting. Does the CTD happen immediately even if you give Orion to the AI before the AI starts (during deployment or with configuration), or does it wait to crash after you start the battle?

If it only happens when the battle is in progress, sometimes the AI will try to use abilities immediately. I think some mods in your list affect abilities? When keeping manual control, are you able to use all of Orion's abilities without CTD?

Alternatively, if one of the mods uses Unit Controllers (to give orders to a unit, teleport it, etc), it might not play nice with AI General. When skimming the mod list, I didn't see any, but I could have missed some.

Sometimes UI mods can have incompatibilities because of the AI button, but I briefly tested Unique Faction AI and didn't notice any incompatibility with AI General.

I'll keep mulling it over. I appreciate you saying you'll keep me in the loop. :)

Yah, I am guessing it is something in the abilities that are modded from my list, those are the culprits I am going to dig into on the first pass. That is due to me never using the AI general until I was into the 'clean up' phase of a battle (most enemy routing, siege entry assured, etc...) so I have never really run the AI general until I am 5-10 mins into a battle already.

And there are no unit controllers (like legions of Nagash with that infinite skeleton generation building) but good shout out to that.

I am really starting to go blind looking thru and play testing, but I am NOW thinking that you may be right about the amount of abilities causing the crash. There must be a call to memory error somewhere in the logic of the general that your mod allows to take over.

Nothing you can do about that, but it will make people think twice before lambasting you with more and more 'OH THIS DOES NOT WORKKKK BOO HOO' threads and comments.

Thanks for the mod and entertaining my testing this last week.
