Ammunition Speed 550 m/s
[possible turret version design primarily for small ship & missiles]
- More variations of autocannon for small grid
- APS (against missiles and other projectiles of a certain type)
- Viewport/camera variants for small grid (long range/ NV/ Thermal if that is even possible)
- Antennas & radar blocks
- Armoured wheels
- RHA/ERA-like blocks
- Compact cockpits
- MBT-like main guns
- ATGM/missile projectile weapon varieties for small grid

All I can think of for ideas
Ideas off the top of my head:
3 types of missiles
Light missiles:
- Good acceleration
- Alright top speed, slow enough for PD to be able to take care of easily.
- Small range (2-3km)
- Can target small/large grids, projectiles if possible.
- Low damage on hit, enough a fighter would care, but large grids should be able to tank a fair few, perhaps around vanilla rocket damage.
- Large volume of fire, launch high amount before reload,
- Small size, I was thinking vanilla rocket but just longer. Launcher would likely be 1x1x2
Medium missiles:
- Alright acceleration
- Similar top speed to light missile
- Medium to Long range (6-8km)
- Can target small grids, would track poorly because of lower turn rate and smaller target, could also target projectiles as an option, but much less effective than light missiles.
- Alright damage on hit, 2x2 or 3x3 splash maybe? Heavy armor could potentially survive beyond the impact point.
- Multiple may be launched before reload, I vaguely though 4 was a good number.
- sizable, 3-5m long and a diameter of 1.2m. Launcher would be 1x1x3, or 1x1x4
Heavy missile (basically torpedo)
- Poor acceleration
- higher top speed than medium/light missile, noticeable but not dramatic.
- Long range (8-12km), maybe with a minimum effective range where it can't fire if target is under certain range.
- Can target small/large grids. Poor turn rate, you could likely dodge fully in small grids
- High damage on hit, 4x4 or 5x5 splash, puts hefty hole in heavy armor.
- Probably only one launched before reload unless launcher is larger.
- Large size, 1.5-2m diameter, length of 7.5-10m. Launcher would be 1x1x4 or 1x1x5
Common traits would be a long reload after exhausting magazine, the range of 20-60 seconds depending on the launcher is what I was thinking of. All would be susceptible to PD, taking very few if more than one hit to bring down.
Maybe different launcher variants that could reload faster, or have a larger magazine on reload, at the price of launcher size. An example would be the medium missile launcher being able to launch more missiles before reload or having a shorter reload, but still launching out of one part of the block, allowing for it to be semi-protected by the hull as part of it is sunk inside while still being able to fire unobstructed.
Or, maybe even just one or two universal launchers where you could change what kind of missile is fired, with some types of ammunition having larger or smaller magazines and differing traits.
Of coarse, it's all up to you guys, this is just how I visualize it could work if implemented (:
