Unable to join locally hosted game with this mod enabled.

I know that the description says that this mod won't be automatically downloaded upon joining a local MP game, so I had both my friend and I get the mod first and then he tried to join.

The game was stuck in an infinite joining game screen, didn't even get to the loading screen.
