Questions
So I've recently begun to test out this awesome addon. Good job btw.

But I would like to know how exactly Heal Floor and Damage consideration play into mind. I understand what max heal is. However, there seemed to be very little difference between the HP I recovered when I set "Damage consideration" to 5 vs. when I set it to 50.

If anyone can figure out how these 2 calculate (or if the creator responds), I'd be most appreciative.
EDIT: Yes, I've read what they allegedly do in the description. But I'm just not sure I understand how they calculate.

lmao.
Damage Consideration, as of BIF 1.0, is literally just the maximum amount of damage that you dealt returned to you as damage.
Heal Floor is the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM amount of health you can recover, so if you somehow damage someone/something with a weapon that does LESS damage than the floor, you still receive healing.

Hey thanks for responding.
So Damage returned to you as damage?!? Like, how does "consideration" factor in to the max heal?

Also, so floor heal only factors in if what you are using deals less damage than the max heal floor, is this right?

Consideration is just poor naming. Later on, I intend to lightly factor in distance.
The second point is also correct.
You don't have to thank me, I have hardly anything better to do.
So then maybe I can get an example because I'm still not entirely sure how the consideration factors in with the max heal.

Say I have a pistol that deals 30 damage per bullet. I set my max heal at 5 points. What does it mean if I set the "damage consideration" at 10 vs. if I set it at 50 vs. 200, etc.

Or does this do something depending on the weapon? Like will it affect health based on damage whether I use an SMG that does 28 per shot vs. a bolt action Sniper Rifle that does 250 per shot.

>shoot guy with a weapon that deals 120 damage in one hit
>Damage Consideration is set to 30
>the resulting amount of damage that factors into how much you heal ends up being 30

So if the damage is 120 and the consideration is 30, where does the max heal calculate in? lets say max heal is 10 for example.

(sorry about this, but I'm more of a visual learner, and I could not figure it out when testing on my own)

Oh, don't worry about it.
Max Heal comes in whenever it is that, even after having been filtered through Damage Consideration, the resulting still ends up being too fücking high.
If it ends up being greater than the Max Heal, then it is clamped to Max Heal.

So... let me get this straight. In order to see the effect of the Consideration, the Max Heal must be greater than the consideration?
(Okay, I seriously don't know why steam is doing this to my replies)

Yes.
Then couldn't consideration be called something like "Minimum Heal"?

True. I'll probably rename it for transparency later on.
Assuming that is I understood you correctly and that is precisely what "Consideration" is, being the minimum heal possible.
