thats welp not good but why not share your games with your friend then when he downloads the games you can just port them and then play :D

Normally, since Garry's Mod is a *Mod* for Half-Life 2, You should not need the maps. Only the host does.

well even if the host does the game doesnt require hl2 to run anymore as its a standalone game now, hl2 can be mounted if you own it to have it content otherwise the maps are not included with the game if you some how get the maps in gmod without owning half life 2 you stole something.
