The thing is, i want to use M9K weapons and the HL gamemode on.
I just want to play HL2 with lots of people at once, but also keep my teammates from using all the sandbox features to keep it under control.

Do note make sure whatever you plan to replace the RPG with can kill gunships. Not all launcher type weapons will kill gunships.

You can give yourself weapons through the give command in the dev console. First, go to sandbox, find the weapon in the spawn menu, and right click and click "copy to clipboard" and go to the console and type "give (then paste shortcut on your keyboard)"

I know that, unfortunately.
Sadly enough, this mod, which is Half-Life 2 Campaign renders the console useless.
Don't remember exactly if it was disabled in the mod, but i remember i tried and it simply wouldn't work. I think the console was in fact active, but it would not let me spawn in anything.

I guess i just need to tinker around in campaign files, but it's too much headache, it's very time consuming, that's the very reason i made this post..

I have a question, can you use gdcw and nikolais vietnam war sweps with this?

is there not a mod that can override this?

Enable 'sv_cheats 1' in console
AND THEN
Use the 'give' command

its simple, play Sandbox. Also the whole reason for this mod is so you can play Vanilla Half Life with nothing else.

If i wanted to play sandbox or vanilla HL2, this post wouldn't have been created.
But i respect you for trying to be smart.

All you gotta do is load into a map with sandbox mode, set your weapon replacements and when you load into the HL2 mode, it should replace the hl2 guns with the guns you replaced.

This way, you can play through the HL2 campaign with the restricted features, but also with whatever cool weaponry/weapon frameworks found on the workshop!
