So here's what we've sketched out for 2.1 already, these goals might change in the future, we might add some might remove some.
Artifacts
With 2.1 we will continue working on artifacts, Vertas already made a bunch of new ones from oblivion, and I have worked a little on making the artifact system easier to understand, more powerful through the addition of a hint system that hints in what provinces to search, and other changes described in cpi.
Technology
With 2.1 we will be removing technology from Esb, this is done for a couple reasons them being
A) Having static values for army morale and other tech related things not dependant on the current year will allow us to more easily to work on bookmarks as they will all share mostly the same level of balance.
B) I don't like technology, it goes against many of the design decisions I have made with Esb to promote player freedom, such as the wide variety of idea groups.
Now you might wonder how will this affect idea groups, We have implemented a system in which you start with 1 idea group slot same as in 2.0, but instead of gaining more through technology every country gets 1 every 30 years.
Building Rework
As we are reworking technology we will also have to rework buildings to some extent, I have thought of many ideas but to be honest I still have little idea of how it will look, one thing I do want with the new buildings is to restrict them based on culture, idea groups, and other things rather than every country having the same ones based on technology.
Unit Rework
Same as building, though it will be noted as removing technology will also remove unit tiers which will make it much easier to make more of them in the future.
Yokuda Rework
With the Yokuda rework we've been mostly open with what's been happening, beyond showing images of borders as those are changing by the day.
Custom Province Interaction
With 2.1 I am trying to make custom province interactions more usable by making it so you can build multiple of them at the same time and have the event affect all of them.
Fixed Global Development Destruction
With 2.1 I am attempting to fix global development destruction to make it so longer games don't lag to death too much.
Removed Colonisation
This is the most iffy about whether we have time to actually implement it, but yes I want to hopefully remove colonisation from the mod with 2.1
Split Cultures
We have on the dev server talked for long time about this, but I am thinking of implementing it this update, basically a new culture system where in culture groups = races and cultures are mostly invented by us and are more a kin in size to vanilla cultures.
Balance Changes and Bug Fixes
With 2.1 we also do have many balance changes and bug fixes we also have to do, but they're a little more boring so I'll leave out the details.
