End Game Event/Special Project Idea
I had an idea which I feel could be a good end game event/end game crisis and I spent the past month or so working on it and writing it down. My idea starts with a sort of spell, ritual or special project which, when completed will awaken the god sleeping at the bottom of the sea (please give it an actual mame). It will occur in several different stages and give the player several different options on what to do and lead to a sort of “ending” for your character’s journey into magic.

Stage 1: In this stage the sleeping god's awakening will first be noticed as most people will begin to have nightmares about the sleeping god causing them to gain stress. Most people will only gain a few stress points as they only have regular nightmares while characters with a high learning skill/learning education/learning traits, people with source traits, true witches and mages will (in that order) have increasingly severe nightmares and gain more stress with legendary mages and characters with the yaga trait fully understanding what happened and sending you letters which will say something along the lines of "What have you done?". Demons however will have the most extreme reaction as they will immediately realize what happened and minor demons will either flee back to hell or swear to serve the sleeping god out of fear while major demons will all send you more aggressive versions of the letters that yagas or legendary mages will send you, they will then proceed to start traveling to your location to kill you which will trigger a mage duel meaning that you will have to fight off every major demon in the world while every minor demon flees back to hell or becomes a servant of the sleeping god. All mages or demons afflicted by these nightmares will have the choice to start serving and assisting the sleeping god in leaving our world in order for it to spare them which will result in them getting the "servant of a god" trait which is similar to the corrupt trait.

Stage 2: Once the first stage is completed a demon more powerful than Asmodeus named Leviathan will rise out of the ocean and come to you to look for help. He was this god's most powerful servant and he had spent centuries keeping this god asleep as he was afraid of it's abuse but as soon as it began awakening he came directly to your location to find whatever was powerful enough to awaken his master in hopes that it would know how to stop his master as he is eternally bound to his master and required to serve it for all eternity and he really doesn't want to serve it anymore. During that same night the sleeping god visits you in a dreams and thanks you for awakening it and offers you great power and gifts if you become it's servant and agree to help it escape your world. You are now presented with 2 options, either you team up with Leviathan in an attempt to kill this god or you agree to serve it and help it escape your world.

Stage 3: The god is now waking up and needs a massive amount of power to leave your world but allowing it to do so/helping it will have massive consequences for the rest of the world, but fighting it is a tremendous risk which will result in the sleeping god completely cutting the world off from magic as punishment if it wins.

Option 1: In this option you choose to help the sleeping god leave your world (taking a lot with it). Choosing this option will result in the sleeping god giving you plenty of powers and blessings to assist you in your mission, that being to give it enough power to leave your world. As soon as you pick this option Leviathan will attack you triggering a mage duel, after you win, Leviathan will survive and flee your court before summoning several greater demons to help him stop you. You will have to perform several complicated tasks to bring the sleeping god enough power to help it escape while fending off demons summoned by Leviathan, these tasks include but are not limited to rituals and spells that are supposed to help fully awaken the god (since the special project/spell/ritual that triggered this whole event only partially awakened it) or transfer all of your power saturation or the power saturation of other mages and demons who chose not to serve it to it in order to help it wake up.You will also have to perform more difficult tasks such as acquiring every magical artifact and travelling to every place of power (all of which will be heavily defended, either by the owner and claimants of the magic artifacts or the places of power being defended by their "inhabitants" such as the Temple Of The Horned God being defended by the actual Horned God or the Academy Of Magic being defended by an order of mages, all of which you will have to fight off) in order to transfer all of their power to the sleeping god resulting in their permanent destruction and removal from the game. All of your efforts will be assisted by the other demons and mages who chose to serve the sleeping god as it has made you into it's "chief servant". Once you have performed all of the required tasks (while constantly fending off Leviathan and the demons he summoned to try and stop you) you will have to go to the location of the sleeping god in the middle of the ocean along with all of it's servants where you will find a small temporary island that it has created from where you will gather and perform this ritual. As you and the rest of it's servants are performing the ritual Leviathan will arrive with the majority of the greater demons in the game including some of the most powerful demons in hell who he intimidated/coerced into helping him. They will come onto the island and you will have a short talk with Leviathan and some of the other demons there before they begin slaughtering all of the servants of the sleeping god who will try to hold them back while you try to complete the ritual. As the last line of the sleeping god's servants struggle to keep Leviathan and his demons at bay you manage to finally complete the ritual and the sleeping god will burst out of the ocean right in front of you in all it's glory as a gateway out of your world opens up in the sky. As soon as the gateway is opened every demon except Leviathan will flee back to hell out of fear, all of it's servants except for you will go insane and kill themselves via drowning/banginh their heads against rocks, Leviathan will try to flee but the sleeping god will freeze him in place before lifting you into the air and talking to you, you barely manage to keep your sanity and gain tons of stress as you gaze upon it's incomprehensible form while it speaks to you, it's words booming with the force of a thousand thunderstorms. It thanks you for helping awaken it and helping it leave your world, as a reward it gives you a piece of it's being resulting in you gaining the overpowered demigod trait which I will explain later.

Option 2: In this option you will partner up with Leviathan in order to fight the sleeping god and kill it before it can get itself out of the ocean and leave your world (taking a lot from your world with it). Choosing this option will result in the sleeping god becoming extremely angry with you and swearing that it will completely remove all magic from your world if it wins, it will then send every single mage and demon who decided to serve it after you so you will constantly have to fend off mage duels from it's servants and stop it's servants from sabotaging you while you're doing everything required to kill this god. This will include rituals and modified versions of the ultimate spell that are supposed to chip away at the sleeping god faster than it can gain power and pull itself out of the ocean and sabotaging the servants of the sleeping god in their attempts to give it power by stopping them or changing their rituals and spells so that they chip away at the sleeping god instead, preventing them from getting different magical artifacts and going to places of power that it's servants are going to try to harness the power of to give to the sleeping god and fighting them off along with Leviathan. As the sleeping god becomes more and more powerful it will use it's own powers to try and stop you by causing plagues, rebellions and wars to befall you and distract you from it's servants attempts to give it more power and give you more problems that you'll have to handle while dealing with it's servants. Eventually once you have chipped away at it enough you and Leviathan will sail out to it's location and pool together all your power and use it in a spell which will create a beam of energy 10 times more powerful than a shot from the Ancient Singularity MK2 and fire it directly at the sleeping god's weakened state. As soon as the beam impacts the sleeping god it will almost completely annihilate it and cause a massive amount of power to be released from it’s body as it can no longer hold it, this energy will spill out in all directions and you will absorb some of it, restoring your power saturation. The sleeping god has now been weakened so much that you can actually take it on in combat, the last piece of it’s being will float up to the surface as an extremely powerful character with the demigod trait as well as several others and it will hit Leviathan with a power strike that instantly incapacitates and gives him the “brutally mauled” trait. And then the mage duel between you and the sleeping god will begin. When you win this mage duel the last piece of the sleeping god’s being will be obliterated followed by a magnificent explosion of power, your character will take all this power into themselves causing them to gain the overpowered demigod trait which I will explain later. The death of the sleeping god will be felt across the world as every mage, source and demon will lose stress. You will then take Leviathan back to your court and heal him, he will then thank you and go back to hell. He is now a summonable demon and has amazing benefits and gifts that he will happily give to you, one of these benefits is to have him leave hell and join your court and become your best friend, dark champion and right hand. I wasn’t sure if I should have him betray the player instead but I decided not to. It’s up to you, ryciebani666.

The Demigod Trait: A demigod is a being that has been imbued with the power of a god and has partially become a god and has gained partial power over creation and destruction putting them a rank above demons and a rank below gods and unlocking new interactions with demons such as beating down Asmodeus when he demands that you serve him after summoning him or instead of your power strike bouncing off him or shaking him it gives him the brutally mauled trait and causes him to beg for mercy. It is the most powerful trait in the game and replaces the demon trait if you have it. It has several benefits including but not limited to: absolute magic protection, immunity to all disease, +500% power saturation gain, massive stat boosts even greater than the stat boosts of a demon prince, the ability to pierce absolute magic protection, immortality, a guarantee that all of your children will receive the chosen one trait and access to the “smite” spell which has 2 ways it can be used, either you can smite a person or smite a county, if you smite a person then it will instantly obliterate them no matter who they are or how resistant/protected they are, if you smite a county then it will have an effect similar to the ancient singularity except it is far more powerful and capable of instantly killing or lethally wounding every character in the county. It costs 10 power saturation points to smite a person and to smite a county it costs 50. As the demigod trait gives you partial power over creation and destruction you’ll be given several new things you can do with it such as the option to create artificial humans/golems whenever you want via a decision with a 10 year cooldown that triggers an event chain where you decide how to design them although they will still not have a soul as you do not have full power over creation and destruction meaning you cannot create a soul, you will also gain the ability to change your source trait at will and you will have a decision that allows you to double the amount of power saturation you have for free. It will also give you access to the “Godhood” special project (you can change the name if would like to, ryciebani666).

The Godhood Special Project: The Godhood special project is a special project where you use your partial godhood to fully become a god. After it is completed your character will “die” (ascend to godhood and leave the world because their new form cannot fit into this world or to move onto greater things/greater ambitions) and you will have to option to use your power to leave behind a part of yourself, creating an overpowered character with your personality and the demigod trait and the chosen one trait along with all your lifestyle traits and modifiers from magic research (kind of like the soul transfer ritual) that will inherit all of your titles and artifacts that you will play as and you will have the option to make one change to the world before leaving. The changes you can make will include removing all magic from the world, leaving an overpowered modifier on your house as a sort of blessing/gift to them before leaving, “blessing the earth” which will leave a temporary positive modifier on every county, “empowering humanity” which will give 95%-100% of all people the source trait or ending the world via one of the 2 ways that I described in my idea for how the apocalypse spell could work.

Well... :D

My first thought was: "nice wall of text," but I got through. The idea is cool :) Bold and epic.
If a professional DLC were to be created for this mod, this is probably what it would look like, with special rivalry mechanics of the Sleeping God and Leviathan sides, and a mass of new interactions, events, encounters and fights. Though personally, I'd probably do a few things differently.
But in this form it's too much work for one person anyway ;)
Sleeping under the ocean god has potential for many stories, including a "crisis" as you described. However, I have such a problem with gods that I'm a bit lacking in tools to portray them well, so I don't know if I'll ever undertake it. Admittedly, I can try to show them indirectly, as an indefinable power or avatar, that seems like a good direction to me.
The idea of a demigod is quite funny ;) Especially this feature: each of your descendants becomes a chosen one :D I understand what you mean and it makes sense ;) It's just that currently the chosen one plays the role of such an OP trait, as if I introduced a demigod, then.... it would be difficult to keep the balance and prepare an adequate challenge ;) Currently, playing with a chosen one is similar to playing with cheating ;p
But who knows, maybe someday. Perhaps indeed the Sleeping God should play some bigger role in the story.

@ryciebani666 The main purpose of the demigod trait is to get access to the special project to become a god, there isn’t really any other crisis or anything after someone becomes a demigod, the next step for them is to become a god and leave this world to pursue greater ambitions. If there is a final ending to the player’s journey then this is it.

I see, it makes sense ;p

Recently I've been considering the place of demigods in the game world. Apart from your idea, I was thinking that these could be beings that for some reason only have one of the divine powers: True Creation or True Destruction. Although I don't have the tools to show these powers properly, especially if they were to be in the hands of players ;)

However, I sometimes wonder how a being more powerful than the chosen one should look and act.

For various reasons I couldn't use your idea, but it gave me some inspiration, thank you ;)

I feel like someone with partial power over both would make more sense and just be easier to implement, that's just me though.
